Why is my Washing Machine not Starting? Error Code E40 | Electrolux - APAC

Is your Electrolux washing machine not starting with error code E40 on screen? Don’t worry. It could simply be due to the door not closing firmly. Here’s what you can do.
1. Open your washing machine door.
2. Make sure there are no obstacles on the door.
3. Try to close the door firmly again.
4. Press the ‘Start’ button.
5. If still unresolved, note the model and serial number.
6. Call Consumer contact centre immediately.

Those two screws look interesting !
But don't undo them or the switch will fall down inside !
Instead, try pressing all the buttons. It worked for me.

i had to slam the door really hard a few times and turn the machine of and on to get the lock to engage.
