  • This meditation video was developed by a group of meditation teachers who teach meditation in the Plum Village and Insight Meditation traditions. It's is a silent Vipassanā meditation, 30 minutes long, with bell ringing every five minutes, and instructions on the screen. This video can help you develop and cultivate a daily meditation practice.
When the bell rings it is a reminder to bring the mind back - to the body and the present moment. Breathing in - know you are breathing in. Breathing out - know you are breathing out. May you have a fruitful meditation.
If you meditate every day - you're invited to use this video every day with your meditation. If you don't meditate every day - you are invited to use this video every time you meditate. Perhaps it can help to experience the benefits of developing a regular meditation practice.
You can gradually increase the time you meditate using the other, longer, videos on this channel. Most experienced lay practitioners find it useful to practice between 45 to 60 minutes a day.

@@Limbalalita323 I would strongly recommend you to do 10 day basic course. Loads of UPSC / MPSC students come for the same.Your questions would have been answered had you done the course. Your mind is designed by nature to bring up thoughs and emotions which are physical aspects also get attached to same, so everytime some though comes up emotions at physical level - good or bad or neutral follow.. In short , Since you are doing stage#1 anapana, You are starting process of disciplining your mind from all randomness to have single focus on breath Which mind does not like at all and will be agitated sometimes. So kindly do not be worried about the same. Kindly continue your practice of anapana with regular practice and also complimenting it will good food and few other aspects. Your will notice the reduction in number of though's and more focus and concentration over time. Sometimes there may be some flare up due to scratching of your past samskaras so kindly remain steadfast. With time you have will substantial control over your mind and you can use it as you want and bring up thoughs which you want to think.....I would recommend you to do a 10 day course it will really give you good insight and open door for 3 day camps on regular basis......Also kindly be soft on your ownself....If you are not able to focus even for 5 seconds its not easy but just continue over days/weeks/months you will find subtle changes overall...
