This is one of the best reviews I have ever come across; this is most likely what many will encounter when they come to using the same accessories. Thanks!!!

They need to ADD rollers at BOTH ends of the machine and in the instructions it needs to say how much longer the project needs to be when cutting or engraving.

Hi Kim and Garrett - I think one of the most impressive things you do on this channel is show folks who have this equipment how to constantly upgrade their game. If I were young, and starting out, I would follow you into a great, and fun career. But I'm old and retired, and just enjoy seeing your journey. Great job, win or fail. Thanks for sharing and continued success. Love PegEgg

It needs rollers on the front and back to feed material through, then you wouldn't need the extra length.

Making it go back n forth seems to be most the issue. Is there a setting you can change to just make it in one direction? One that doesnt follow the design but just does top to bottom line by line. putting the lazer at the closets position to the feed and that would solve a majority of your issues.

is there a reason you are engraving in the middle of the engraver space? can't you move the head to where the material enters the machine? (to where the markings are on the feeder? This way you won't need to add an additional piece to your board and the head is closer to where the clamps hold down the board

I would said 50 to 60% quieter than the glowforge! Like, I actually said "Wow! That is way quieter than the Glowforge." We want to do a comparison and this would be something good to measure. Thanks!

A 10’x10’ room is 14’ across the corners. You may be able to do it in that room if you turn it 45 degrees.

I am about to purchase a laser machine, but i am new to this so i saw a lot a videos but i don’t know which machine to buy between xtool p2 or an omtech, so i want to ask about your experience which one you guys recommend ? I hope you can see this comment and answer me before i made a mistake.

The P2 is much more user friendly and easier to setup. It also has a better passthrough. I hope you got this in time!!! ~garrett

Omg thanks for your answer, i have a big indecisión looking for what is the investment on one of these machine, at the first my first option was the xtool p2 and then im considering the omtech AF2028-60 thats why im asking you cause i saw your honest review and opinion on your videos, thanks again for answer me i think that im come back to my first option. 😅

I'm sure you said, but what's the max width can pass through there? Like for example can I get a 4x4 sheet of anything through there?

    • @cool2no
      @cool2no 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

The bed size is around 12x24 inches on the P2. Something 4x8 or 4x4 feet you’d need a bed style laser running around $13k. I bet it would be awesome tho. I’m sure you could find one cheaper but you most likely get what you pay for with these.

PSA: we purchased the feeder as well. Here's what to be aware of:
    1. we have yet to get this feeder to work!
    2. we've spent around $500 on materials so far on test attempts and at least that on time wasted.
    3. we've tried short board lengths, long lengths, etc. no luck
    4. we've tried SO MANY setting combos. bottom line, the alignment is off every time
    5. we've engaged with xtool support. after weeks of communication (takes 12 hours between contacts because they don't have a US presence) we still don't have a working product. can you imagine this kind of hastle with a car? or a phone? still hoping they can get it working so we can make an ROI (still have yet to sell a product from the conveyor feeder.
    BUYER BE WARE!

I'm in the same boat as you and exact same timing. I also thought the same based on e-mails, but when I log into my xtool account and look closer, it clearly says the order is partly filled and showed the items that still have not fulfilled. that put my mind at ease. looks like everyone is getting there items in stages with the P2 usually first.

The roller setup seems very bad, in my opinion. They should have gone with a full belt or track so that the material wouldn't be stranded if it were too short.
