    Leave it on the ramp brotha, it’ll help the oil drain more complete due to the plug being rear facing. Plus you’ll actually have room to see what you’re doing

    Not sure if you’re Muslim or not I pray that you are
    But the best message in this video was taking the old oil to auto parts stores . I’m Muslim and I’ve dumped it in the grass before and that is wrong. Thank you for guiding me My Brother.
    Oh, and thanks for teaching me the oil change too. I will use this knowledge. 🎯✌️🏿👑

    Having to remove that cover every time I do maintenance (could be 3-4 times a year) would turn me off from buying the car

      Agree. This looks like a pain to remove all the clips. I know oil change companies are going to charge extra to sit there and do it.

    The oil is written as 0W20, but in the Middle East the temperature is high, it can be changed to 5W30

    I like how you used a leaf to set the drain plug down. I've done that before just to not leave a oil spot oil spot on the floor.

      @@SamAkaVlogs you like those Mobil 1 filters? I used them alot too but recently I've been using wix filters which have a lower micron rating and seem to work great for the cost. they won't last 20k like m1 but the filter is 21 microns vs Mobil 1s 30. I change my oil 5k roughly anyway. I live in a desert and oil gets dirty quick with grit and sand and dust.

    I notice that the Kicks and Versa have no cover, the Sentra, Altima and Rogue have the big covers. GM and Toyota have access panels.

    You could keep the car on the ramps to drain the engine oil.

    Also no need to prefill horizontal filters. You risk contaminating the "clean" side if there is any particles left over from the refineries. There is no true reason to "prefill" any filter ever made. Oil pump fills a filter within seconds upon starting up and during that time the fine oil film left on the bearings will keep things from wearing.

    • @faxmen09
      @faxmen09 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nah. Lake Speed Jr has a youtube video out now completely debunking the new oil "contamination" idea. Prefill if one chooses or not, but new oil is not "contaminated".

    It would be a good idea on following videos to post actual parts # and alternatives, like in this video can I put the 20K mile oil to save on frequent maintenance.

    A VERY unfriendly diy oil and filter change vehicle with the belly pan and plastic clips. Likely keep me from even considering one for purchase..

    • @SamAkaVlogs
      @SamAkaVlogs  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The cover it's very useful as it keeps dirt, pebbles and water away from the engine. The issue is how it's attached they should had made it easier to remove

    • @faxmen09
      @faxmen09 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SamAkaVlogs I quite well understand the concept of a belly pan. Point is if Nissan is going to use a full belly pan there should be an easy opening/closing flap or flaps to at least change the oil and filter. To have to remove the entire pan, even with ramps, quite frankly sucks. Not to mention the use of ~28 (or so) cheap plastic push pin clips to remove it each time. They are sure to break. In short, a very cheap design and very poor execution of that design. As accurately noted, a very unfriendly diy design. Someone needs to make an aftermarket belly pan with openings, bet it would sell to diyers. Strikes me, Nissan wants owners to have to take it to a Nissan dealership with a lift. My .02

    • @SamAkaVlogs
      @SamAkaVlogs  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@faxmen09 I also think they want to make hard for the consumer so they take it to a dealer. I cut the cover in half and use plastic cable ties for easier removal. Problem is that it makes a turbulent noise at highway speeds now

    • @faxmen09
      @faxmen09 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SamAkaVlogs 100% agree. While still not great with the number of plastic push pin clips, it would be significantly easier on a lift. If some aftermarket manufacturer could bring a modified cover with openings in for a reasonable price, I think it could sell.
