- John Fogerty performs the CCR classic "Midnight Special" at the ScotiaBank Centre in Halifax on Nov 10, 2014.
I left the intro because I'm a guitar nut and I thought it was nice to see and hear such a nice collection of old and new classic instruments being played by their owner.... Enjoy! - เพลง

20 years plus in joying life listening to the Best Band in America. I was blessed to have met him at the Rose Vill Ball Room. For years he was playing with his band
John just performed in CT during his Celebration Tour. He still sounds just as great as he did eight years ago. 🎸

I saw John live a few years back. He hasn't lost a thing!! What a great night! It was silent for a few seconds and I yelled out Midnight Special, well John heard it, the place lit up with the old lighters, and the band played it. Thank you John for all the great years of music. I'll never forget it. Awesome music and a fantastic night!!🎸🎙🎶💟

John's drummer, Kenny Aronoff, is one of my favorite session drummers! He's played with a lot of big names.
He’s a hired gun…play drums for pay…always reliable, great performer, particularly pushes Fogerty.

John Fogerty is in a class all to himself. He's a freaking out of this world lead guitarist and can play anything he wants to from a pedal steel guitar...dobro...fiddle it doesn't matter and can burn them up...oh did I mention he can sing damn it Johnny boy go play that guitar.

Seems like this one got popular almost a year after I uploaded it for some reason, even though the rest of the concert is up in the channel and some of the video is better then on this one, yet most the rest have under 1000 hits. As great as John is regarded, he is still underrated as a guitarist. Once of the greatest I've ever seen. Right up there with John McLughlin, George Benson, Steve Cropper, Prince, Jeff Beck, Wes Montgomery, & Pat Metheny.
Agreed.... One of my biggest regrets is not recording the only Jeff Beck show to ever come to Halifax.... but I DID get to go backstage and meet him. Having your picture taken next to a Yardbird is kinda a surreal experience, but actually getting 30 mins face time made that one of my favorite music memories so far. Thanks for watching!

As a writer and guitarist, John Fogerty is very underrated. No, he's no Clapton, Page, Hendrix or Santana, but he's pretty damn good. And as a writer, he's right up there with Lennon and McCartney, Elton John and Carole King.
People who weren't around back in the late 60's-early 70's have no idea just how big CCR was. They performed late Saturday night at Woodstock, taking the stage following The Grateful Dead, and right before Janis Joplin and the Kozmic Blues Band. Also on the bill that Saturday were The Who, Santana, Canned Heat and Sly and the Family Stone.
That's being up right up there where the air is rare.
