uso87 G I’m pretty sure you’re not a real Bama fan or either you’re young. No matter what QB we have we’ll be in good shape due to Coach Saban’s offense. Jalen low risk- low reward that can get you out of a sticky situation. What he lacks in arm talent he makes up for with running ability and elusiveness. GA had a hell of a game plan for him. Tua is a high risk- medium reward player with great throwing ability and an ability to scramble when needed. If you’re a true honest Alabama fan you know that in the Championship game that TD to Ridley was not intended for him. Tua put a prayer in the air and it worked. He did the same earlier that game and it was picked off. I’m a huge fan of both. The kicker on the other hand 🤬🤬🤬🤬 it’s to the point where we may have a better chance of going for it on 4th than attempting a FG 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
If we had a kicker, we don't even need for Tua to save us in overtime! Our guy choked on a point-blank 20 yarder that couldn't have been lined up any better! If you can't hit it with THAT placement, there's nothing a coach can do but find someone else who can!

Yup. He's not the monster so many people think he is from random snippets of his press conferences and his sideline demeanor. Saban's a good dude. He's made more positive difference in peoples lives than just about everyone else on the planet .. Think of ALL the kids he's taken from the streets essentially and turned them into responsible young men.. many who are RICH responsible young men. Then those who don't make it to the NFL .. still will tell you they owe most of their success to Nick Saban turning them into men and being that 'wise' father figure while under his guidance at Alabama. He's a better man than most.. he just doesn't usually allow cameras inside his program and life -- He decided it "smart" to let the cameras in for a 4 part series (this is part 1) to help with Alabama's 'Image' and in under 7 minutes it's already making a difference. :)
GuessTechSports I'm starting to see why he always have a great recruiting class. I'm from miami and from what I see from him I would now probably consider going there.
Oh, when it comes to football, he's a task master. What he does seems to work, and you only have to look at the number of NFL draftees he's had to back that up. But if you look, you can find interviews with his former players who talk about what a warm, funny guy he is. As far as the media goes, it's a necessary evil and the part of the job he dislikes the most....he's said that more than once. He also doesn't suffer fools, so beware the reporter who asks a stupid question, and contrary to popular belief, there most definitely ARE "stupid questions" especially when he's went over something before.
Coach Saban also welcomes and helps new coaches from other sports when they come to Bama....just ask the men's basketball coach.
One of the things you can look up (here on TH-cam) is an ESPN "all access" they did for the upcoming 2010 season. A.J. McCarron talked about how the players are required to go to class. They have people checking, and if you skip class you get to explain it to your position coach, offensive/defensive coordinator and then (gulp) Coach Saban. And he's a man that doesn't take excuses. Coach Saban brings in alumni who are successful in business and they conduct mock job interviews to help the players for later in life so they know what to say, what not to say and what is expected. Coach Saban even had an executive type office built in the football complex for that purpose because he said, "it's not just about the next 4 years, it's about the next 40 years" because football will end at some point. One only has to look at the graduation stats and how they have risen under Saban's watch to see he means what he says.
One more thing. The charity, "Nick's kids" isn't named for the coach of the Crimson Tide, it's named for his dad Nick Saban Sr.. The Saban's have given away a LOT of money, especially after the tornados that hit Tuscaloosa a few years back.
He either shows you how to make money from your education or with your abilities.He truly enjoys helping kids become men

I love it. I didn't think these would be SO short,.. as Saban has allowed ESPN to stay with Alabama for the entire Fall with their cameras in what I think, IIRC, will be a 4 part series. So it looks like ESPN is going to break down a half hour into 4 parts to give people a GLIMPSE of when things get done.. in Fall Camp,.. at Alabama. Still highly interesting.
Nick is a "beast"at coaching it doesn't matter who he puts on the field I'm bama's #1 fan and this coach is amazing at how he brings the best out of these players!

Agreed. That said - I don't see Saban doing anything wrong. He's been SOOOOO dominant for SO long that the Media (and everyone else for that matter) have had Alabama under a microscope and found nothing in 10+ years. Saban is VERY happily married and spends 99% of his time coaching and recruiting -- The other 1 percent is with family. While he could get into some BS.. he keeps a finger on every minute detail of the Alabama program so it's unlikely imho. Buuut.. he does have one quality that makes it possible -- He's human.

Well I'm from the south "marengo county" AL. When we were growing up there three teams in sport nobody black rooted for the Boston Celtics, the Green Bay Packers, Alabama crimson tide. Black are the majority on most of those teams now so maybe times have changed

JL - You are a true fan and obviously take a real interest in the games.The last "barrier" seems to be that black guys are not being hired as head football coaches and there is a lot being done to get more qualified minority assistant coaches in the "pipeline". For most Americans who really enjoy watching hard fought college games ,all around the country, this probably never comes up.
The Offensive Coodinator is Black, but I guess you missed that little part as are a lot of the position coaches. I've been all over the world, and the most racism I've ever seen, BY FAR, is in the Northern US, period, not even close.
