Hey Jim! Thank you for sharing your favorite music moments of the year. Wishing you and your family Happy Holidays! God bless my friend. 👍🎄🎅🏻🤶🧑🎄🎁☃️⭐️☮️🙏😎
Hi Jim. Loved listening to your recap. Looking forward to that new Steven Wilson album. Your No 1 not a surprise. Would have been mine too had I been lucky enough to be there. I listened to all 9 VHB albums the other day! My sister thinks I've lost it 🤣 🤣. Hope you and your loved ones have a great Christmas. 🎅🎄
I don't remember if you did a Top 10 moments in 2023, but back then mine would have been the Von Hertzen Brothers concert 😄 but maybe it will be in 2025 as I'm going to see them live in Helmond/NL. So what are my moments of 2025 ? I'm not sure, if I can list 10, but even if not, Oasis wouldn't be worth a mention by me😆 vultures and hyenas ... what they are 🤣🤣 I'll just write about my concerts .. not as many as in 2023 (11), but fortunately not one single disappointment. The year started with Mostly Autum, then I saw Chris Botti in Berlin, which was special, as it was his only Germany concert. In June I was at Rammstein, but only as the ticket was free for me (without having to go to row 1 ... if you know what I mean😛). I think, musically they are limited, the pyro show is unique and also the stage show is special ... as most of the lyrics are, too. In October I saw Dream Theater. Being happy with Mike Portnoy being back, I have to say as the critical fan, that I am, it was good, but it didn't reach the class of all my DT concerts back in the first decade of the 2000s - all concerts between 2000 and 2009 with Mike. In November there were 3 concerts at smaller venues, first canadian prog band Mystery ...hopefully soon on the channel, next german jazz band Roman & Julian Wasserfuhr of whom I'll also present 1 song soon and finally Blind Ego, my next mixtape. The last was really good, but what made it special was talking to Kalle Wallner, bandleader and guitar player of Blind Ego. Just like Jim said, meeting the musicians after a gig makes this kind of event very special 🤘
Shame that you didn't get a chance to speak to Spock's Beard and Dave Meros in particular - they really are one of the most fan friendly/chatty bands out there (ditto Marillion). I have pre-booked the Steven Wilson CD and tickets to see him live so it was nice to hear you mention the 'p' word in your non-review (that's prog, to avoid any confusion!) and it was no surprise to hear various gigs mentioned in your top 10. I tend to think the smaller the venue, the better and, though it's maybe not great for band finances, I get the impression you agree. Looking forward to 2025!

Thanks for your best moments Jim and wishing a great Christmas to you and your family ( Jon A and the Band Geeks are indeed a good shout from AIM )
Happy Christmas to you too 😁

MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄& 🎆HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025 (gulp) Jimbo - look forward to more videos next year. More Vertigo label 1971 rock dude.
Nice recap, Jim!
A few of these I expected; but I missed the obvious one with Gojira. Doesn't even seem like that was this year. How time flies!
I know! Mad, innit!!!??
I did see you at VHB but only from afar so couldn't say hi. My moment of the year too (and I saw them in Helsinki too).

the other p is popmusic, right ? 🤣 and I absolutely agree with you on smaller venues ... see my comment 🤘
Oasis has been one of the most hated bands by me ever. So I'm not surprised by this situation that I never heard about. The rest were great choices.
