The reason why Jonathan Davis is doing guest vocals on this track is because at the time Deadsy were signed to Jonathan Davis's label Elementary Records. Also Elijah Blue (the vocalist of Deadsy) is Cher's son. I hope that helped to shed some more light on the situation...
Came to see him, for You only might find Gone take my lay For you and I will find Fronting my face I cannot ever find Places I care for Nothing in my mind Bring me not far enough All lurking you'll find Placing not far You're every single mind So fine can only For you and me will find Basis all for me Can you leave my mind Bracing my fall My every single place Your love travelled far Some laying with my fates Place some never far You're everything away You say I'm a love And be mine every way (Inside) Under the sand Through the land Find all I can And form a clan That teaches to laugh Tears the past Laughs at the rest Teach the best Defeats the rest Forms the test We passed all the tests (Evil in my mind)
I remember downloading this song off limewire, back when I used to type 'korn rare' in the search field every day, in between 'Issues' and 'Untouchables'. Fuckin awesome song. Perfect example of how Jonathan Davis could turn the sort of vocals, that theoretically speaking, should be boring, into something that deeply moves you. Amazing voice. Even though it's not quite as good nowadays, he's still the singer of which I most look forward to hearing new material.
Too bad this is NOT Marilyn Manson OR KoRn. The band is called Deadsy and Jonathan Davis was doing the main vocals as a guest appearance. People always assume this is Marilyn Manson and KoRn because MANY years ago on Napster, a bunch of morons shared it as such and ever since it's been known as Marilyn Manson and KoRn. Either way... great song!
It's incredible these songs still haunt the internet... lets not forget the covers Like a Virgin, My Girlfriends Girlfriend and Terrible Lie by Manson.
kornfreak78 OMG You rule! TY so much for Identifying this track. I've had this for so many years and suspected it was not Korn and Manson but no music identifying services could match it.
This always reminds me of playing "nightmare creatures" on my PlayStation 1 with my headphones on as a teenager, great times!. Wish I could go back in time.
People should get mad about being overtaxed, high gas prices, a war that is costing trillions that has nothing to do with our national defense not about some guy who made a mistake on youtube. People are idiots and get angry over the wrong reasons. I'm just happy that someone posted this song.
Manson and his hypnotic voice... like sweet nectar that is the pinnacle of masculinity hidden under a face of enduring sadness. . he's a lord. I hope he knows he matters to me. . .to another artist. We still love him.
thanx for the fyi on the error cause i was like'uh how did i not know they had collaborated?" thnx to you i now know i wasn't so far out of korn/ manson loop and it would have bugged the hell outta me;) thnx again ~Rhonda
I think the confusion with people thinking this is Marilyn Manson comes from the fact that for some reason it showed up on a lot of different bootleg cds as Marilyn Manson and Korn. But you can clearly tell it's Deadsy when the backing vocals start up.
I fucking love this song. I first heard it in 2002 (when I was in high school) and I still listen to it. It really should be released, although, it IS Jonathan Davis with Deadsy. I don't think that the other members of Korn were in this song.
It's not MM or Korn. But even if it was, suggesting that it's the best song from either artist is really pushing things. It's good but it doesn't eclipse both Korn and Manson's entire catalogues 🙄
It's actually used towards the end of the 1999 movie Sleepy Hollow made by Tim Burton. :D At least my special edition copy of the film has this as an end credit song.
I have been to Sleep Hollow before... its just a sleepy boring little middle class village in 914, NY. Has about 10,000 people. Couldn't find a less creepy area if you tried lol. I imagine things were different in a few hundred years ago in Tarrytown/S.H when the folklore was birthed though. Interesting note. The Sleepy Hollow legend was written in England, and based off a German story.
within your ignorance dies a small death, manson isn't on this track, you're a fan of nothing as you can't detect that the breeze you glide by your life isn't present. you tried hard to be, but at the end of the day, you're nothing.
Not Manson. Lol. But damn, why worship people?? I mean if u are going to worship a person, worship yourself, but I'd choose God if I was u. U can still listen to all this music, but don't worship the ones that make the music
This used to be my character's death song. Got possessed by the angel of silence (rules heaven for half an hour in Revelations) went rogue and had to be killed by the other archangels. Not before killing Mithras King of angels, and Lilith his consort. Brings back memories...
@AlbertaJCW001 If you really know the truth you simple be silent because as I already say is you who help Marilyn Manson be so know in the world! I remember when I know Manson musics that the first time I give importance to him, was after read opinions like yours, that always invite people to know why you talk like that about someone! Guess what ... I start to like his musics, so my thanks to you and people like you that help me know a good band! THANKS!
Jonathan Davis and Marilyn Manson are singing in this song.Listen carefully.Jonathan does have the most lyrics to sing in the song, though Marilyn's voice can be heard in the backround.-->3:14
That very interesting and wise logic on such a fragile and straight-foreword subject. That's also an interesting perspective considering were you're coming from.
Actually this song is Deadsy with Jonathan Davis. It was on the first Deadsy cd which never got release, except in promo form. The song is called "Sleepy Hollow." I own the promo with it on.
@redwoodthefox at least there is one person who is leaving a comment about the MUSIC you know the reason why we all clicked on this thumbnail to listen to music and not argue over something that will never be resolved. thank you redwood i too think he coulda started singing earlier
It is crazy for years I grew up listening to this song and found it under Marilyn Manson and Korn:!:? who else has been fooled and tricked over the years thinking this was Marilyn Manson and Korn when it wasn't...🤯🤯🤯 # what you get for not doing research
Yes, its is deadsy and korn, but just because someone thinks its manson doesnt mean we all need to start ripping on them! Its okay bro! We all make mistakes!
I don't know why this has gotten so many thumbs downs when its actually the truth. I can see how people would think the deep voice part is Manson, but its not. Nothing against Manson, I'm a huge fan, he just didn't happen to be part of this song.
Deadsy- "Sleepy Hollow" (feat. J. Davis) 1996.
fools.
Napster started this rumor when it had only 1 seeder who uploaded as Korn and Marilyn Manson
wtf!!
Um.. Thank U!
Remember when all music was this bad ass? The 20s SUCK TEENS SUCK!! 2Ks SUCK!! 90s 🖕👍😎 go fuck yourselves!!

I havent heard this since maybe 2004... i just randomly remembered this song today. thank you so much
Now.. THIS takes me back...
I remember discovering this one day on limewire back in 2004 such a sick track
lol those days when it took an hour or so to download a song 😂
Came to see him, for
You only might find
Gone take my lay
For you and I will find
Fronting my face
I cannot ever find
Places I care for
Nothing in my mind
Bring me not far enough
All lurking you'll find
Placing not far
You're every single mind
So fine can only
For you and me will find
Basis all for me
Can you leave my mind
Bracing my fall
My every single place
Your love travelled far
Some laying with my fates
Place some never far
You're everything away
You say I'm a love
And be mine every way
(Inside)
Under the sand
Through the land
Find all I can
And form a clan
That teaches to laugh
Tears the past
Laughs at the rest
Teach the best
Defeats the rest
Forms the test
We passed all the tests
(Evil in my mind)
thank you bro, u deserve it
@@tshepomokoena7324 😁
I'm fairly certain the words in this song were freestyled and not really meant to be read to the letter.
Doesn't he say 'defeats the West'?
I don't think it's boring. It's extremely eerie when Jon Davis starts singing at like 2:22. I like it.
easily the best song ever made, i have listened to this atleast a dozen times every day!
Song makes me think of a funeral. Beautiful.

This song used to scare me, now that I'm back and older I kinda enjoy it now. True Story...
I have no words to describe this song #FuckingEpic
Hugontic KoRn fan of nearly two decades, albeit I’ve yet to have heard this rarity. Quintessential art.
Sigo disfrutando de esta canción en 2022
Thank you for that, it was driving me nuts and yes it does.
If you love this. You’ll love Deadsy!!🤣😂🤣
And Orgy, Limp Bizkit, deftones
Manson and his hypnotic voice... like sweet nectar that is the pinnacle of masculinity hidden under a face of enduring sadness. . he's a lord. I hope he knows he matters to me. . .to another artist. We still love him.
This is not Marilyn Manson or Korn, it's fucking Deadsy with Jonathan on vocals.

it kinda sucks I never got a chance to discover Deadsy as a musician because this song has always been listed as korn and manson.
Have to look it up
I think the confusion with people thinking this is Marilyn Manson comes from the fact that for some reason it showed up on a lot of different bootleg cds as Marilyn Manson and Korn. But you can clearly tell it's Deadsy when the backing vocals start up.
Korn and Manson never released this because Manson has nothing to do with this, genius. it's Deadsy and Jonathan Davis (not Korn, just Jonathan).
Good to see little bits put in there. ^^
I fucking love this song. I first heard it in 2002 (when I was in high school) and I still listen to it. It really should be released, although, it IS Jonathan Davis with Deadsy. I don't think that the other members of Korn were in this song.
Praise da lawd. I didn't know Jesus had a youtube account. Thanks for the update, precher
I love korn!
Liam Jack:Same
And manson
BONITA IMAGEN!
Bringing back some memories wow great song
The song is actually by a band called Deadsy off of their self-titled debut album. This song has Jon Davis on as guest vocalist.
that's Davis and Elijah Bleu (cher's son, frontman of Deadsy), not manson.
Jon-Laurence Esnard deCespedes Thanks

I LOVE THIS FUCKING SONG!! It's like a hidden gem :D

what a shame this song never came out, it's the best song I've heard from both artists put together...
It's not MM or Korn. But even if it was, suggesting that it's the best song from either artist is really pushing things. It's good but it doesn't eclipse both Korn and Manson's entire catalogues 🙄
A honest mistake to think it's Marylyn Manson but Deadsy ft.John Davis
An honest mistake to spell Marilyn wrong even tho the name is in the title hehehe
One of my all time favorites
It's actually used towards the end of the 1999 movie Sleepy Hollow made by Tim Burton. :D At least my special edition copy of the film has this as an end credit song.
Ah that would make sense yes. It does sound exactly like him.

I would have to go thirds here. Just hearing the bass line reminds me of yesterday.
FUCK!!! Finally found this song of childhood! God thanks it's labeled as on Napster long days ago :D
This is the band, "Deadsy" featuring Johnathan Davis from KoRn on vocals.
