While I 100% agree with taking the bikes off the scumbags who ride around on them dangerously and unlawfully, what an absolute waste to just crush the bikes. This is part of why humanity has so many issues in the first place, waste. These bikes would be better dismantled properly and the serviceable parts sold off to law abiding bikers fixing and restoring bikes. Crushing working equipment is nothing to be proud of and is just sheer laziness.
couldnt agree more!! as a lover of pit bikes in particular, it pains me to see them crush and destroy parts of those machines that can be dismantled, resold, and re-used on bikes that will be used on tracks, or private land. it hurt watching the guy cut into the rims on that little demonX, those rims were in alright condition.... easy £60 there as spares
Oh that would go down really well. Police taking bikes off people and putting them up for sale. The public would totally be understanding and wouldn't at all paint the image of police stuffing their pockets. People think road fines are a way for government to make money even though it never comes even close to breaking even what the enforcement costs. Now imagine selling confiscated bikes...
@@Hyperllam4 Not into only police funds, but the whole tax system. I'm honestly not against what he proposed. If someone is an idiot riding a bike illegally they don't get to moan when it's taken away. I don't think the public is going to cry about some chav losing their ktm
Whilst I 100% agree with confiscating bikes used in this manner, what a monumental waste of machinery that could otherwise have been sold/donated and been made useful. And we're supposed to be banning single-use packaging to save the environment...
Please consider giving the road legal bikes to law abiding people who may not be able to afford to purchase their own vehicle outright. This is just wasteful
what about giving the off-road bikes to shepherds or gamekeepers who need to get around tricky terrain? Or selling them to them at a cheap rate to cover some of the costs of seizure and storage? I could really have used something like that when I worked in forestry, I'd have made a box for the chainsaw and fuel and got right up to the worksite quickly and easily. They could be sprayed orange all over so it's obvious they're not for road use.
The real criminals are the ones taking peoples property and telling them what they can, and cannot do. Why would you allow your life to be controlled like this?
You do know they can easily catch you. Your IP from your comment can be traced to your phone and they can either triangulate your phones location or use its location feature. If they want you they can have you very easily little boy.

Spot on. Those kids clubs should be given these things to learn them responsibly.

@@Soupyxo great comment Soupy
most of them are stolen in the first place who wan't to buy stolen thrashed bike engines or parts?
Agree.
If they are not stolen, resell and put back into the system, seems like a waste of money.

Divvy’s should give them to kids clubs, where it’s controlled.

Non of those bikes are road legal
Good condition motorcross bikes could be resold to actual motorcrss riders like myself
What a waste
This is what happens when you allow a criminal out of control government
I hope these aren’t stolen bikes.
we get these illegal bikes in my area quite a lot but i dont bother calling durham police now because it takes them so long to respond
if they bother to respond at all......
