You didn't mention the determinant (=+1) so the length(norm) of vector remains unchanged, an important requirement for a rotation matrix. Obvious but still, simple test for to see if some matrix in R^n could be a rotation matrix.
Another way of thinking about this is this is a rotation through the Z axis. And the 3D rotation matrix for the Z axis is the same in what he found for R_theta!
Very well explained!! Thank you!! Can you make a video on how to solve the problem in the link? drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-lMO0o1tc93eHl5utegtg9jDnKvvIvii?usp=sharing

我就需要这样把我当成傻瓜一样的教程,太感谢了,讲解的很清楚!
Simple and direct to the point thank you
Jeff Chasnov is so smart, yet so humble; i love him
what an amazing lesson, thank you so much!
Great video... I keep getting distracted with wondering if he has to write backwards to make the text look correct to us?
Thanks Prof, but I don't understand how u find x' and y'?
Mesmerizing elucidation
Thanks for the clear explanation.

(Cutting off the 3rd row and 3rd column of course)
out of curiosity, is the video flipped?
Yes
All your videos are really helpful.
Thanks
