gaijin hunter You're Welcome! Me & My Fiance are getting this game on launch date & this is the first thing that we're gonna be doing. I printed a physical copy of this for convenience. :D
lol jaggi helm much better deal than bulldrome cap(its the same stat atk 3 lol) since you got fire attack in it, which advance much more later in the game since fire weapon plus elemental are most monsters weakness..
In MH4U you can get an Attack Up L blademaster set by using Kut-Ku Cap, Kut-Ku Mail, Velociprey Braces, Velociprey Tassets, and Kut-Ku Greaves, then putting in Attack Jewel 1s. Once you get access to Rathalos you can replace Velociprey Tassets with Rathalos Vambraces then break his or Rathian's wings to get Rath Wingtalons to get access to Attack Jewel 2s. Get any single slot charm put an Attack jewel 1 in it and then you have Attack Up XL in low rank.
Hey, I'm farming the set now. :D But you can get the Bullfango Pelts and the shiny Beetles also in the Verdant Hills! In area 8 you will maybe find some Fireworms which you can harvest. You will be able to receive your beetles. If you didn't get them just leave and go the area again, this works most of the time. And there are also Bullfango for the pelts!
+asd asdas No problem. ^^ Search for Monster Hunter Generations on the play store/app store (I don't know if there are apps like these in the app store) and install one of the guides, they are pretty helpful. :D I found out the leaving and entering trick by myself, but there you'll find all items, weapons, key quests and so on!
I just got a Nintendo switch just to play monster hunter rise. And I thought it’s six months away so I thought I played generations ultimate it’s awesome and I need to set so I came back to the channel and awesome video helps a lot
@@reyntime8735 its one of the most fond memories for older gen hunters (1st & 2nd Gen to be specific) In MH1P and OG PS2, the very first area you go is Forest and Hills, the very first monster you hunt is Aptonoth, and of course, the very first thing you could gather is dung which contain possible Kut-Ku Scale in it. It really is a great nostalgia as many older hunters didn't think that this little thing actually carries over to Generation, the last time we can go to F&H is in Unite (2nd Gen, you can do that here too) and F&H area are absent from Tri~4U. So this back after 2 gen missing is such a powerful nostalgia for us older hunters, it really makes me reflects on how much MonHunt has grown ever since the day I brought it back in 2005.
Made this set early on, served me well until I was able to make maestro jewels, and exchange the waist for the starting Berhna waist. For newer HHs that would like the extension on songs, it's very lovely to begin the game with Attack Up Medium and Maestro (or in my case, AuS, Maestro, and Speed Setup thanks to a charm)
Had to stop the video a minute in as I suddenly took notice that everything is in english. I'm not going to question how Gaijin Hunter a week early (review copy perhaps and the embargo could have been lifted to get people hyped for MHG), but still, it is nice to finally see MHG with English words at long last. Slowly going to be counting the days until next Friday. Thankfully though it is only Six days left now as opposed to seven. Really excited and can't wait to look into this armor set to give me a quick heads up. ^_^
Zeromyraid Then I'll go with the idea that the embargo ended at around the time IGN first started then. Not sure when specifically, but if the english version has been shown for weeks now, then I guess I don't know what I'm saying when I used the world Embargo.
Not all games ever get review embargoes. Given how early stuff is coming out, I'd say its more likely gen never had one. Also, its MHGen, not MHG. MHG is a different, _much_ older game.
...Hey! This is exactly what I did in MHX! My first mixed set in that game if I remember. I feel chuffed about figuring it out myself, at the time there were no guides to combo armours and things. The Jaggi and Bulldrome armours come in handy for early mixed sets. I was very surprised at how viable mixed sets were early on in MHX.
To be fair, you carry around actual whole piles of dung in your bag when you go out hunting, and then proceed to throw it at monsters, sooo... I'm going to say yes, yes we would.
definitely recommend this set, easily brushed through all of the village including shaggy maggy, and me and my little bro repelled nakarkos today in about ten minutes each with the set
Just finished village with this set. The other armor-sets are cool but i guess nothing beats that Attack up Large, plus upgrading the armor actually helps a lot. Some of the parts have more armor than the 7-Star sets fresh from the smithy. But then again- i rarely get hit since i just fly all over the place with my aerial insect glaive.
Is it at all possible for future armour sets that you show how the parts will colour in the armour pigment section? I'd like to know since I personally try to use it to tie a mixed set together better or just for fun.
You can change the colors of armor and if you beat the village stuff (specifically glavy and then the credits roll) it will allow you to have the rainbow armor pigmentation
Good to know. Thanks for the video. I am super late, but finally snagged it yesterday. Didn't have much time to play, but I'm gonna start farming on my lunch break haha
I'm gonna make both Blade and Gunner versions. Especially if I wanna play Bowguns early game. And what I love too is that this set isn't Talisman dependent, so you can squeeze in some other skill.
Just a quick thing GH, this set WORKS for gunners but they need a weapon with a slot or a charm with a slot to fit the Atk L skill since they need 5 slots for the attack up skill.
Just bought Switch because of MHGU after my friend told me they added Chinese in an update earlier this year. Bought Switch and the game the same day. Now I'm finally on GU. Love your videos a lot, and now I'll start watching your MHGU videos. HAPPY HUNTING!
Two questions, is the still viable in XX/GU, and does it also work for the ranged set? EDIT: Tried it for myself, yes and yes. As a ranged set you lose 1 Attack skill though, so you'll need one more gem, and one more slot from your weapon or charm.
Dude this is still good thanks man, im playing it now, kinda wanna try all the monster hunter lol also should I upgrade them all or save my spheres for g rank
Hey gaijin hunter, i want to know if the jungle from freedom unite is in generations. It was one of my favorite maps and i can't find any signs of it being in generations so far.
hi, how hard is it to get 1-slotted charms early game so that using the blademaster helmet will give attack up large? I heard that the Desire Sensor in gen was a lot less forgiving in comparison to 4u where +12 skills or 3 slotted drops were far more commonplace
If you need extra defense you can change the armour to Bukubukubu and you will have a little bit more defence but you will need Attack up 2 gems to still get the Attack up L
Hi there, I'm using this armor set along with a striker sword and shield setup. I'm having quite some difficulty clearing the Gammoth on the 3* No Go on the Popo quest. Any new armor upgrades to recommend or tips? Thanks!
You can upgrade the petrified glaive to 140 ATK early in the game. I was very surprised it was effortless. I just pair it with my traditional armor build the Ingot which can also be upgraded high def early.
I don't suppose you would have a recommendation for an early High Rank (Village/HR 4-6) armor set that can help carry you until you find a 'proper' high rank armor set? Bujabujabu set has carried me well in low rank and I thank you for that, but I'm not sure about investing armor spheres for the set to limit any of the increased damage in higher ranks.
No Great Jaggi? I loved that guy. It was a nice relaxing easy hunt, with no real tricks or traps. It was nice having something like that in the early game.
no reason at all, you're getting infinite picks and nets and no stamina bar, gathering with a hunter seems like a waste of time (unless you do extra gathering in normal quests)
Yeah, you're missing out on Charm God/Gathering God that way. Trading speed and efficiency for potential productivity. Early on it's a no brainer to use Prowler, but later on it's a real choice.
Hey, your video's are a great help for me as I'm new to MH. Just crafted this armor set but I am wondering what I can craft best after BujaBujaBu? Any recommendation?
nah since this game is getting more publicity we are going to b seeing more of the Frankenstein armor sets than any real Mix sets. ppl always seem to go for a common set tht gives a lot of defense early on. (I even seen Gold crowns adding defense skills and Honing even though defense doesnt really reduce damage anymore after reaching 720-740 lol well unless ur a Gunner then thts a bit different)
How long is this set good for? im currently doing 4* village quests and i use a Petrified switch axe (aerial style) upgraded to level 5. Any idea on what to go for next armor wise?
Two questions: First, why no palico gear for starters guide? Quite curious as to what early game monster has the best ranged weapons for cats. Second, are the online monsters 4x as hard like in tri, or are they still dependent on how many hunters you have?
Online monsters have always been ABOUT x4 difficulty(every quest has different modifiers, but it's pretty similar each time for the same quest) to a normal solo quest. If someone quits or you simply start out with 2 or 3 people, there's no difficulty reduction. You'll notice this in the demo where multiplayer monsters take significantly longer if you start the fight before all 4 people join or if someone leaves the game, it's meant for 4 people, so there's no change in difficulty.
Then is that changed in this game? Because in 4U, there's no way it was a 4x health multiplier. Probably not even a 2x multiplier. It also didn't affect damage taken from the monster. I think I read, too, that online was balanced for 2 hunts in 4U, and not 4. Though if you have a source, I'd love to see it.
Thanks for the tips, I think me and my friends will try to make it has fast as we pass the tutorial. Will do a all weekend huntaton. Justo one question do you know of a good app for MHX? (I guess it would be the same information for Generations) Love your videos
Hey Gaijin Hunter (or anyone able to answer), when would be a appropriate time to get rid of the armor? For example should I ditch the armor at say, 5 star rank or when I get something like Tetsucabra armor? By the way I am a Greatsword user and only Greatsword. No other weapons.
+Henry Young felt the same. the monster do have very low hp compared to mh4u, at least thats what i thought. was playing aerial IG and they just got wrecked with bujabujabu ^^
I dont use online I dont use felyn assists and before this video I managed att up large with more defense. Bulldrome Helm/Kut-Kumail/bulldromebraces/jaggifolds/bulldromegreaves/1slottalisman fill all slots total of 5 with attup. 85def and attup large.
i want to point something. for the shiny beetles in the area 7. if you don't find the bug floating around (like you see in the video) next to the small cliff it may be found next to the cactus (for example where diablos ate in mh4u) OR directly oposed to the cactus (if you're looking to the cactus then straight to your back, in the point between the number of the area 7 and 9) i got the game yesterday and and already have the set but i need more shiny beetles in order to upgrade my bows so i can have a slot on a weapon. fun thing i can't find any more and i did the quest 10+1 times xD damn it!!
what do you recommend to play first the single player or multilayer because I always play the multilayer first but I feel like I'm missing out on something
You are missing out. Play single player first, so you can get good and not annoy everyone else online first. I've see lots of people who skipped the tutorial missions in 4U and just went online. There where triple carts everywhere.
Jeck Mester see you didn't even know I played the old games so when your talking shit about get good I have been playing monster hunter since freedom 2 I just wanted to mix it up on this game so wtf

Wow thanks, I will be using this
awesome done ! Thnx !
lol jaggi helm much better deal than bulldrome cap(its the same stat atk 3 lol) since you got fire attack in it, which advance much more later in the game since fire weapon plus elemental are most monsters weakness..
For people early on in the progression :
The Low Rank Kut-Ku Mail can be worn without losing Attack Up L,
direct upgrade for this set's chest piece.
...atk up l that early...that is disgusting...i love it
Rathalos low rank set in mh4u = attack up Large
In MH4U you can get an Attack Up L blademaster set by using Kut-Ku Cap, Kut-Ku Mail, Velociprey Braces, Velociprey Tassets, and Kut-Ku Greaves, then putting in Attack Jewel 1s. Once you get access to Rathalos you can replace Velociprey Tassets with Rathalos Vambraces then break his or Rathian's wings to get Rath Wingtalons to get access to Attack Jewel 2s. Get any single slot charm put an Attack jewel 1 in it and then you have Attack Up XL in low rank.
thats still like 5 star, this can be obtained within a few hours of playing, buldrome is a training monster for evades
DaJayman654 Thank you. Just thank you.
hello Gaijin, thanks for your mh4u tutorials last year
Bu Jabu Jabu sounds like something you would hear E. Gadd say in Luigi's Mansion.
Or I dunno, a Zelda dungeon.
+JackofAllSpadess that's what I was thinking. Jabu Jabu lol
Ocarina of time dungeon!
Return of the disc stone
yaay
Where i can find Disc Stone ? please :)
I have a feeling everyone in low rank will be wearing this set now
Everyone who's good
+The Troupple King people who are "good" don't usually listen to gaijin Hunter.
+Akarui Savage.
+Akarui oh snap what a burn!
+Akarui god damn... nigga just got roasted
Hey, I'm farming the set now. :D
But you can get the Bullfango Pelts and the shiny Beetles also in the Verdant Hills! In area 8 you will maybe find some Fireworms which you can harvest. You will be able to receive your beetles. Thanks for uploading this, Mr. Gaijin. All these tips will prove very useful. I'm so hyped for MHX/Gen this Friday.
Omg thx u so much i love that u think about that everybody just starts now and give us a set that helps at the beginning
Thank you Gaijin good to see you again, I've been a fan since MH4-4U. Now I'm back at your vids since MHGen is near!
Oh man!!!!!! I'm so pumped this will be my first set for sure. More like this brother
thanks mate, still helpful all these years later
Just picked up this game on my birthday! Hope to keep up with this channel to became a master Monster Hunter! >:)

Thanks Gaijin, this set has served me very well so far with my tetsucabra horn x)
Would you craft with a kut-ku scale you found in a pile of dung?
You'd wash it off with acid(actually, it's more of a base because it's more similar to bleach without the color distorting properties) first, so yes.
To be fair, you carry around actual whole piles of dung in your bag when you go out hunting, and then proceed to throw it at monsters, sooo... I'm going to say yes, yes we would.
to be fair you have dungs in your inventory, next to things that you eat... xD
That's funny Najarala! Hahaha!
I would harvest a kut-ku scale found in the middle of the fight xD
This is so nostalgia for me!! Map number 1 I miss my PSP so much!
Thanks for this super useful info, keep up the good work!!!
p.s. Generations HYPE!
I love your videos dude. You are amazing at what you too.
Really liking these early game build videos
Good old Forest & Hills
definitely recommend this set, easily brushed through all of the village including shaggy maggy, and me and my little bro repelled nakarkos today in about ten minutes each with the set
You should do more Mix Set videos for endgame sets.
Always gives Might Seeds? ALWAYS GIVES MIGHT SEEDS? This is my 4th harvest tour and i did not get any Might Seeds from that spot or another spot. T.T
I think what he meant was that this spot is a fixed spot which is always there. Other spots are random whether they appear or not.
Attack L in the early game; fantastic. Now if only I could bleach my eyes because HOLY HELL THIS SET IS UGLY.
You explained everything very well! Thanks Gaijin, i'm definiely gonna make it!

Didn't have much time to play, but I'm gonna start farming on my lunch break haha
man cant wait for this game, im jelly why you have the game so earlyy D: still great video as soon as i have the game ill get this set :D
Gaijin I don't think you named it BujaBujaBu. This set was floating around for months and it already had that name.
+Nuke2099 really? It's a well known set since day one in MHX but I have never seen it called Bujabujabu
Very few people called it by that name though. Most just call it Bulljaggi or Bulljango.
It just follows the normal japanese naming convention for armor sets, so I don't see the problem personally.
dvaskil
No problem. Just pointing something out. Can't wait for next week so I can play. Shopto already sent my order out. :)
Can't wait either! I'm going for the digital version.. fingers crossed for both preload and midnight release :D
I'm gonna make both Blade and Gunner versions. Especially if I wanna play Bowguns early game. And what I love too is that this set isn't Talisman dependent, so you can squeeze in some other skill.
preordered the game and the collectors edition 3DS, and I'm pumped for the grind!
You're not alone!
Just a quick thing GH, this set WORKS for gunners but they need a weapon with a slot or a charm with a slot to fit the Atk L skill since they need 5 slots for the attack up skill.
I just created my first BujaBujaBu armor but for Low Rank Offline :) Will see how it works out! Thank you!
awesome early game set thanks!
Just bought Switch because of MHGU after my friend told me they added Chinese in an update earlier this year. Bought Switch and the game the same day. Now I'm finally on GU. Love your videos a lot, and now I'll start watching your MHGU videos. HAPPY HUNTING!
Can't wait till this comes out here in the UK on Friday... Me and my hunter group have all preordered it with the new 3DSxl mug adition so...
bruh take a break some mh vids and comes back to this master piece. this is gonna be the first thing I make when I start the game
Just thinking about how this will be my possible first set makes me REALLY hyped for the game! I'm dying right now. Ugh I can't wait!
Go to a hospital.
Two questions, is the still viable in XX/GU, and does it also work for the ranged set?
EDIT: Tried it for myself, yes and yes. As a ranged set you lose 1 Attack skill though, so you'll need one more gem, and one more slot from your weapon or charm.
The way he gasps when he finds the Kut-Ku scales in the dung pile is really fucking cute, ngl.
Immediate like for the Epic Photobomb.
Dude this is still good thanks man, im playing it now, kinda wanna try all the monster hunter lol also should I upgrade them all or save my spheres for g rank
:( I'll miss you great Jaggi
Hey gaijin hunter, i want to know if the jungle from freedom unite is in generations. It was one of my favorite maps and i can't find any signs of it being in generations so far.
I'm afraid it's not... I REALLY like the Ancient Forest :(
hi, how hard is it to get 1-slotted charms early game so that using the blademaster helmet will give attack up large? I heard that the Desire Sensor in gen was a lot less forgiving in comparison to 4u where +12 skills or 3 slotted drops were far more commonplace
If you need extra defense you can change the armour to Bukubukubu and you will have a little bit more defence but you will need Attack up 2 gems to still get the Attack up L
Hi there, I'm using this armor set along with a striker sword and shield setup. I'm having quite some difficulty clearing the Gammoth on the 3* No Go on the Popo quest. Any new armor upgrades to recommend or tips? Thanks!
You don't fight the Gammoth in that quest. You run from it!
Atk+1 & Aerial Atk UP or Atk+3 set ?
Great video, will you be making any more armour set recommendation videos before release?
This video is really helpful, as I just got off my lazy but and got Generations yesterday. Do you plan on doing more?
Hello Gaijin! My A button and my thumb thanks you a lot for the tip of gathering.
No Great Jaggi? I loved that guy. It was a nice relaxing easy hunt, with no real tricks or traps. It was nice having something like that in the early game.
I think he may have been hunted to extinction...
+FullArmourTracksuit Well, normal Jaggis are still in the game... So, clearly not.
+Utter Boredom don't muddy my delusions with your facts and common sense.
Arzuros is returning tho. Still a decent punching bag for early game lol.
GreyTheDarkMaster Tbh, Arzuros is even easier than Great Jaggi... At least for me, anyway.
This will probably be the first set I use in Monster Hunter Generations.
bullfango pelt is hard 2 get... did the quest 20+ time all with the sub quest done and no pelts....
Kong Xiong bullfango pelt drops off smaller bullfango not the big version
Is there no gunner version? Switching from braces to guards give me 1 less attack point...
The gunner version needs a talisman/weapon slot to put 1 more attack up jewel in there.
So is there any reason to ever use the hunter on gathering runs?
no reason at all, you're getting infinite picks and nets and no stamina bar, gathering with a hunter seems like a waste of time (unless you do extra gathering in normal quests)
Farcaster. That's about the only reason.
+ShadKats gathering up skills if you have a good talisman
Yeah, you're missing out on Charm God/Gathering God that way. Trading speed and efficiency for potential productivity. Early on it's a no brainer to use Prowler, but later on it's a real choice.
All really good points I hadn't thought about. Thanks for the responses.
Hey, your video's are a great help for me as I'm new to MH. Just crafted this armor set but I am wondering what I can craft best after BujaBujaBu? Any recommendation?
This is why I play Solo. First Tetsucabra in 4U, now this. Yay, what variation we will see online.
If you want variation in low rank online halls you're gonna have a baaaaaaad time
nah since this game is getting more publicity we are going to b seeing more of the Frankenstein armor sets than any real Mix sets. ppl always seem to go for a common set tht gives a lot of defense early on.
Any idea on what to go for next armor wise?
what i want to know is do you get all the styles (adapt, striker, arial) from the start ? or do you get them 1 from each village you visit ?
From the start
You select one of them at the start and can change to any of them any time you want in your house.
Two questions:
First, why no palico gear for starters guide? Quite curious as to what early game monster has the best ranged weapons for cats.
Second, are the online monsters 4x as hard like in tri, or are they still dependent on how many hunters you have?

Tirta Firdaus 4 times for 4 people. It doesn't get easier, though, it's either 1x or 4x depending on solo or multiplayer.
Yeah, so it was 4 times, not twice. Thought it was twice. Well, good thing is, nothing has been changed for worse in MHGen :)
The heck is up with the high def? and where can I get the armour spheres for it?
Thanks for the guide Gaijin!
Only 6 days for Euroean release! I'm so excited :DD
Would this set work for gunners? Im planning on being primarily a HBG user for this game.
Adept HBG was one of my favorite weapons in the demo. You get to escape damage and reload! It's fantastic, and I don't even like bowguns that much!
Yes but you either need a gun with an extra slot, or a charm with a extra slot. (You need 5 attack up decorations for gunners.)
Monster Hunter Generations hype!!!!
Thanks for the tips, I think me and my friends will try to make it has fast as we pass the tutorial. Will do a all weekend huntaton. Justo one question do you know of a good app for MHX? (I guess it would be the same information for Generations) Love your videos
so prowler has infinite use of bugnets&pickaxes ?
Yes.
The little click at the end when you stop recording the sound haha
thanks so much for this! Definitely going to use it :)
I'm also wondering if upgrading armor this early on is worth it too.
+Henry Young felt the same. the monster do have very low hp compared to mh4u, at least thats what i thought. was playing aerial IG and they just got wrecked with bujabujabu ^^
Haha I see so many people online with this. I'm all down with a nice mix set that doesn't look like ass
that tetsu swax looks amazing.
The Monster Hunter Facebook page shared this! Awesome :D
What is the best for beginning, Attack Up L or Attack Up S + Critical Eye 1 from full jaggi armor?
I dont use online I dont use felyn assists and before this video I managed att up large with more defense. Bulldrome Helm/Kut-Kumail/bulldromebraces/jaggifolds/bulldromegreaves/1slottalisman fill all slots total of 5 with attup. 85def and attup large.
Did they take out some of the set pieces? I can't find them ingame, besides jaggis
My question, how does this set work if you're playing as a gunner? Since the skills seem well-shared.
A little late but the v2 quest "a pack of blangos" subquest rewards just gave me six tusks. Definitely do that insead
i want to point something. for the shiny beetles in the area 7. if you don't find the bug floating around (like you see in the video) next to the small cliff it may be found next to the cactus (for example where diablos ate in mh4u) OR directly oposed to the cactus (if you're looking to the cactus then straight to your back, in the point between the number of the area 7 and 9)
i got the game yesterday and and already have the set but i need more shiny beetles in order to upgrade my bows so i can have a slot on a weapon. fun thing i can't find any more and i did the quest 10+1 times xD damn it!!
Hey Gaijin... How did you got your copy ahead of time? Does that mean your going to make a review for it? If yes, I can't wait to see it.
Can't wait for a Prowler tutorial
what do you recommend to play first the single player or multilayer because I always play the multilayer first but I feel like I'm missing out on something
You are missing out. Play single player first, so you can get good and not annoy everyone else online first. I've see lots of people who skipped the tutorial missions in 4U and just went online. There where triple carts everywhere.
Single player is just low rank, so you can get through it pretty quickly.
Jeck Mester see you didn't even know I played the old games so when your talking shit about get good I have been playing monster hunter since freedom 2 I just wanted to mix it up on this game so wtf
+KINGWOOZY PRODUCTIONS Well that would've been useful information. How, exactly, was I to know that beforehand?
+Jeck Mester well don't assume someone is a noob
Wait, are you mixing Gunner and Blademaster armor parts? I thought that wasn't possible? Was I just wrong in MH4U or did they change it?
Some of the early game armour pieces can be equipped regardless of whether you're Blade or Gunner.
Head armor is ALWAYS an exception. I mostly wear blade hat with my gunner armor for more defence (But only if it doesn't conflict with the skills.)
What should I do once I get to high rank to make this better
