Hi, I do not understand some stuff from this Tutorial. For example, the reason why the speaker presents files first like this: menu.html.twig, and minutes, later on, refers to the file with menu.twig.html. Is there an error in the ppt presentation, or are just two different files? Thanks for your time,
Drupal 8 is so terrible. 8 was the final nail in the coffin. It is broken in every way, and switching template engine is absolutely stupid. Causing even more devs to leave it, and fewer newcomers to learn it since they need to learn a totally new syntax. Stupid move by Dries
Twig is excellent and Drupal 8 is a huge step forward for the project. Stay in the past and be left behind, if you'd like, or upgrade your skills. Your choice.
Drupal 8 has been making me money since it launched. I went from tpl files to twig.html pretty easily and I'm a fan of it. Read the docs and learn it as you go. You can ramp up your skill sin Twig pretty easily. Oh HEY Andre!

Haha, I hate it too. But what are ya gonna do? Drupal is king in the CMS game and a good CMS is unfortunately necessary for large collaborative sites.
