Very nice videos. And I general if I use this kodak or Fuji luts and I want to use additional lut(from outside DV) should I put it after or before the Kodak LUT? :)
As usual, great tutorial and well explained. A question, which input color space to choose for an action camera filmed in log (mine brand insta360 model One R in log25) ?? This would allow me to try on my project. 🤔👏
Kasia, Are there any differences in the development of the film under Fuji with three separate nodes, since before that we developed Kodak with only two. Is the difference in the imitation of the film or is it one of the options?
Any reason as to why you're grading directly on the LOG clip instead of converting to an intermediate colour space before hand, for instance DaVinci wide gamut or ACES, or is it just to make it easier to follow the tutorial?
I like how you added nodes for specific things like 'trees' and not so rigid node structure like I have been trying. Very helpful!
Wow, such an in-depth tutorial, you have won me over, thank you
Great to hear!
Your color grading is incredible!
Thank you Daniel

Hello Kasia, Very useful information. You just acquired another Sub and thanks for sharing.
Awesome, thank you!
Excellent! One more reason to move from Premier Pro to Resolve.
Good call!
Thank you Kasia! Always good information and I find small but very useful tips 👍
You're so welcome!
Whoa! NOBODY has ever mentioned the 3D Qualifier before! I'm going to use this a lot now.
Am a beginner in color grading in davinci, but this was so helpful thanks.
Thanks so much!
awesome tutorial kasia. Please can you explain fuji f-log grading process to get cinematic look
Do you have a clip to share fir the tutorial by any chance?
@@colorgradinginsights yes i do have many sample clips ..where can I share it ?
you must have a powerful machine to track stuff lika that so effortlessly
great job... legit
Thanks so much! I hope you will enroll my course!
does this work with fujifilm xt3 footages?
Very nice videos. And I general if I use this kodak or Fuji luts and I want to use additional lut(from outside DV) should I put it after or before the Kodak LUT? :)
If you want to tweak your clip with another lut, I would out it at the end! Then you can also decrease the opacity!
Thank you very much for your answer :)@@colorgradinginsights
why didn't you convert red log directly to cineon? why rec709 intermediate convesion?
Because this way I can get rid of the lut if I want to easily
@@colorgradinginsights i see :) I am a beginner.. still learning! Thanks so much for the reply!
As usual, great tutorial and well explained.
A question, which input color space to choose for an action camera filmed in log (mine brand insta360 model One R in log25) ??

🤔👏
That’s a very good question! Have never seen this footage and have to do some research🙂
Kasia, Are there any differences in the development of the film under Fuji with three separate nodes, since before that we developed Kodak with only two. Is the difference in the imitation of the film or is it one of the options?
It’s because before we were in color managed and we didn’t have to convert the clip to Rec 709 - I hope o got what you mean
Very good! I always wanted to know the process for using those Fuji film Luts. Does the same thing apply when using canon log3?
Yes of course, you just do cst accordingly
How do I find my camera's input color space and input gamma?
Ask DOP
Would love to see this workflow using a Davinci Wide Gamut Color managed project :)
Great suggestion!
Any reason as to why you're grading directly on the LOG clip instead of converting to an intermediate colour space before hand, for instance DaVinci wide gamut or ACES, or is it just to make it easier to follow the tutorial?
Yes, it is to make it easier as most of my audience are beginners and haven’t done a proper video yet, covering color management
I’ve been in Davinci for 2 years and didn’t even know 3D qualifier was a thing. My mind is blown. 🤯
check out my course as well: colorgradinginsights.thinkific.com/courses/masteringcolorgrading
I'm newbie to color grading, does anyone know why she doesn't transform directly from Log to Cineon Film Log? Why is Rec.709 in the middle?
Because this way I can always switch off the lut easily if I want to
@@colorgradinginsights oh yes that makes sense. Thank you so much.
sorry, but I can click thumb up icon only once 🙄
Haha, thanks! Glad you like my tutos!
