Adventures in Cappadocia: Highest and Lowest Points -Uchisar Castle & Derinkuyu Underground City

In this video, we share more of our adventures in the beautiful Cappadocia region of Turkey. On this day, we visited Cappadocia's highest and lowest points. Uchisar Castle is a staggering 60 meters tall (196 feet) and from the top you can get amazing views over the nearby landscape. Derinkuyu, on the other hand, extends 8 floors underground, giving you a unique perspective into the lives of past residents of this area.
Both places are 100% worth a visit. For Uchisar you don't need a guide, but we recommend a guide for Derinkuyu. There was so much information we wish we would have gotten as there are no informational signs of audio guide available. Also, take a look at the videos we captured before taking kids to the underground city, as it was not an easy feat. And DO NOT GO if you are claustrophobic. There are many parts of the underground tunnel system that require you to bend down and squeeze through some pretty short and narrow spots.
We had an amazing day with the kids and excited to see what else Cappadocia has in store for us.
