Appreciate that alot! Thanks so much for supporting!
Normally you can tell how a scene was lit and kinda really see, what the light is doing on the floor or wall. But your stuff looks so natural, that i really didn't thought, that so many lights where used. Super sick!
Thanks Jonas! Appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching!

Awesome work man
Do you have the full commercial from this project posted on your IG or somewhere else? would love to watch it
Awesome video and content!!
Thanks Ayshe!
Another phenomenal video! Came across your channel recently and been going through your archives. Learnt so much in what I've learnt so far! I noticed in most of your other projects you have some amazing looking grain, what are you using to achieve this?
It’s either DaVinci resolve or Baselight grain right in the program.
Fantastic video :) In relation to the colour temperature of your light fixtures, what kelvin is the Venice set to internally?
Incredible breakdown! Thank you for all the free knowledge.
I wonder if you are still planning on showing how to properly do a slow shutter sequence? Since I understood that there is quite some post work that goes into it?
Keep it up brother 🙏🏼
Thanks! We're releasing that video shortly, so stay tuned!
I love your materials in this style. How long was the light ready for the first scene? How many people were involved in this - you and any gaffers?
Second question - these 3 scenes took 1 day of shooting?
I would love to read about the work schedule that day.
Everything was shot in one day, but it took a day to prep. There were lots of hands involved to keep things tight, this was a 10+ person team
Great video!!!! Where do you get company logos for spec ads?
Love your videos. Love the way you describe everything up to the lenses and f stops.
I was just curious if you use any filters like black satin or bpm when you shoot.
Yeah we switch between black satin or hbm/bpm depending on the shoot aesthetic. Appreciate you! We have lots more coming soon
@@TenfoldProduction thank you. Your work Is really amazing.
That means a lot! Thanks for supporting
Hey forget the lighting setup, Who did the color interior design and wardrobe. That really is the star of this video.
We found a house that did a lot of the work, then our production designer really helped punch it up with our colourist as well!
Very useful video! The shots and colour are incredible! Is it possible to download a couple of files in RAW format to look at the sony venice sources? Maybe there are some shots that were not used in the advert (or that were used).
Thanks for the comments! Unfortunately we can't do that at the moment. Maybe in the future
I think it's a combination of things, particularly the set design but this really gives me a 'Knives Out' vibe.
Thanks Dale! That means a lot, the team really crushed it on the set design and space.
Would love to see your probe shot setup and Dana dolly/ronin setup
We have a video coming soon! Thanks for watching Jack
Great value man! So if you see on the monitor it looks very warm with the 6400k on the camera and all the 2700k on the fixtures. Whats the reason to shoot this warm in camera knowing you have to pull the overall balance back a lot in grading? Thanks for this amazing breakdown, learned a lot!
@tenfoldproduction Amazing video with a lot of great insight! I am curious though, what was the budget for this SPEC shoot? Or, if you're working off of a lot of favors from people, what would be a budget est. for the camera/G&E to recreate what you're doing here? I think that kind of info would be super insightful in your videos moving forward, even if just generally touched on at the start, and would help give people a little more perspective on more of the "unspoken" elements that also go into creating this caliber of video imagery. Not too much detail that dips into the producing side of things, but just budget info as it relates to your work on set as a cinematographer.
Thanks and keep up the incredible breakdowns!!
Hey Frozen Lake,
Thanks for the question! Most of our specs can range anywhere from $5000-$20,000. This was closer to the higher end. We have a pretty high standard for ourselves and how we represent ourselves in the filmmaking world. We've also built up our projects to a certain level so that every spec for us has the aim to elevate or do better than the last. With that in mind, these videos would be extremely long if we went into every aspects to it (creative ideation, pre, production, post, marketing).
With all of that in mind, we are excited to be releasing our Portfolio (spec) Cohort course, where we will be diving deep into every aspect of our process, including pricing, ideation and everything I spoke about above. If there's any interest, feel free to join the waitlist!

Hey! Love your content -- Thanks for that insightful breakdown. Curious to know: what is the app/tool that you use to film your screen for these tutorials?
Hence, the markers and all that as well
Just using photoshop!
I don't know how you find the time to make these tutorials but thank you.
Haha, we care about our TH-cam and the community we've built so we want to make sure you all get content weekly!
Thanks for the video! What website do you use to find example footage for your mood board?

Hi. Great video as usual and very informative. I have a question, where do you find the GIFs and screenshots that you use in the moodboard? I use ShotDeck but I would like to find more commercials references and GIFs to make it clearer for my clients. Thanks and greetings from France!

@@TenfoldProduction thanks 🙏
I want complex camera movements too
Coming soon! Appreciate you
thanks
Thanks for all the information you put into this video. It is very helpful for me as a young director and dp to have this kind of insight into beautiful projects like this one. I am curious to know how much this kind of spec projects costs you ? Thanks again and greetings from Paris :)
Thanks so much for the kind words! We have a lot more projects coming out, so stay tuned and subscribed if you haven't already! The specs we work on typically range from $5-20k but it really depends, but keep in mind it doesn't always have the cost this much.
Who colors the videos they always look great!
This was coloured by Jason Zukowski in Toronto.
This as crazy value
Thanks so much Yannick!
What tripod is that in which it allows you to roll/slide it on the ground around the 17:35 time frame!
Very good video,
Can I know the app you are using to draw on the screen pls...
Photoshop!
Thanks man! . What's the best site for visual references?

Brilliant work dude. Was any filter used on the lens to give the footage a bit of softening?
Black Satin!
@@TenfoldProduction Thanks dude. Was it the 1/4, or 1/8 strenght?
@@akpevbe can't remember exactly, but I would def suggest testing them out if you can! Will give you a better sense of the filter
i've got some preproduction templates for milanote might prove more useful and organized than what you got going on. if there's a way for me to export my board layout lmk!
all this is generated inside with gear lists, dummy checklists, locations, cast etc
Appreciate it! But we’re good!
2700k for darker skin tones?!? Oh snap!! I can’t wait to try this!!!
Appreciate you Ben! Let us know how it goes.
can u give us a quick insight on filters you use and color grading workflow
Will drop a whole filters video soon!
fineeee I'll subscribe :)
also love your transitions my guy, lemme get those
@@farcushenderson haha thanks Farcus. Well release those soon
One question.... Where did you grab all these moodboard shots from? I subscribed to Shotdeck but they don't have a shots from commercials. I plan to move my focus more towards commercials, so it will be really cool to have some resource to find some inspiration

@@TenfoldProduction Wow wow wow! Thank you!

Haha unfortunately, it was coloured by Jason Zukowski in Toronto
Hehe I came early today 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Appreciate you Sam!

where we can find the final video of the commercial ?
We'll release this shortly!
This looks great but...
anyone else notice how so many commercials have the same look? Saturated, wide lenses, high contrast, robotic movement, deep focus, et al.
Yes and no. Every 4 years or so the brands will refresh their identity with new creative. So I guess you could either align with their existing creative or be disruptive and become their next refresh.
Great point! Def have 2 directions to go at it.
How long did this take from beginning to finish?
Probably 4 weeks of prep, 1 pre light, 1 shoot day, 2 weeks of edit, 1 day of colour, 2-3 days of sound. All in about 2 months or so Roughly.
Question, how are you writing on the screen ?
Photoshop!
@@TenfoldProduction So are you using a Tablet to write on the screen?
@@directorparisholmes2023 it’s a tablet!
@@TenfoldProduction nice, I need to get into this stuff. Thanks

Can I intern for you?
Haha we are looking for interns if you’re in Toronto
@@TenfoldProduction You responded! Holy shit. What if I relocated there for a bit?
@@TenfoldProduction It would be awesome! I would learn a TON from you! And, I could help you out tremendously. I’ll stay out of the way; just be an extra set of hands and a malleable mind. I guarantee you my work ethic will speak for itself.
