Lovely :-)) enjoy the fruits of your work and of that fig tree ! 🥰 I had 4 type figs, among them have had also the "brown turkey" but sold them all a few weeks ago. I got so bored with these trees and that is why I sold them. I find they take a lot of room and they are not even interesting at all. They are also to see in each and every garden from private to business ones, as if they are pests or so.. or a rose.. ? 😂 Truly boring plants. I am so happy I got rid of them. I thought if I want to eat a fruit or so, I can buy in a store but to plant it or them in pots or garden, it is a no, no any longer as is not worth it as they are neither appealing, beautiful nor do they offer pollen or nectar to what´s still left from insect world out there. Anyway, my figs were around 8 years old and for about 4 years they had to grow in pots and they did absolutely fantastic and I am sure is due to the very fat (nourishing) soil they grew in. The last 3 years they grew in the garden soil. The roots in pots were huuuge, huuuge, huuuge :-))) thanks to the very rich soil I offer them, but in the garden their roots were slowing from developing further as the soil in the garden was sandy and I have noticed this difference because I had to dig them out as I was selling them. But within the last 3 years the garden soil has improved insanely as I added compost and extremely thick layers of leafs each fall, young green wood and dry wood chips all year around and so on. Non the less, the plants self, even if they had to grow in a sandy soil and did not developed a large amount of roots anymore, they grew absolutely awesome, they were tall, thick and healthy and when you think I have bought them as babies your fig is big
P.S. I am still working in and around the garden as well.. design and so on; but I did not find time to plant any of my roses, yet and I have over 20 of, waiting to be planted. 🤕🤧🥵Maybe I will shoot another video about my work progress within the last three-four weeks.
Wish you a wonderful time and see you whenever possible for both sides and certainly it will be always a joy.
    love greeting,
    Kitti K.

@K.KleopatraK. Oh my I am so envious of your previous fig trees :) I hope mine will grow as healthy too, although I will keep my fingers crossed that I can forever keep it in a pot, as unfortunately I don't have a space for it to be eventually directly planted in the ground. Fingers crossed! :x I totally agree with you about the soil condition, I too noticed the vast difference when I started nourishing it with some natural goodies, it used to be such heavy clay where it was impossible or proving so hard to plant anything without having to dig endlessly to get to the soil. However, after we have decided to put a bedding on top of the original heavy clay, it has been nothing but my precious aid in growing plants now. We were so lucky that when we purchased tons and tons of topsoil to fill the bedding, we recieved good quality soil from the provider, phew! Now, I feel I owe it to the richness of our garden soil, why my plants thrive well, despite my inexperiences on how I look after my plants here, honestly! :D
It's always a pleasure to hear from you too, thank you so much. Did you just say you have over 20 roses to plant?!?! 0o0 Oh my!my! so much joy and excitemen, you'll have, once they have been planted and started to settle in your garden
