Perfect timing for me on the diy bird bath. I was just looking at the ready made ones and was very disappointed. Was thinking on settling on some large saucers temporarily for this year. The songbirds are going to love this!
Do you know the old guy the plumber? He did a good show about water filter in the kitchen. It says eight years ago are you guys a new up-to-date from that one? I like what he says, though food for thought !🥳
I just don't get why the rag use to apply stain. It's not only this channel so I'm not picking one person. 42 years of painting and have done my share of stain packages. You brush on the stain witn a quickness then rag off accordingly. I did like that little tap down hammer technique to remove the moulding and I want to make a birdbath now
@brushmasterspaintingfranchise I dont watch toh for painting related things. I saw newel post repair and clicked. I learned about flex tech through this channel for wood repairs though . For that I am eternally grateful. Other than that I never watch any painting advice and such. The business is saturated with idiocy beyond words.
@sparkyheberling6115 Well spark that is a loaded question If its a small project (and thats mainly what you do you could go to harbor freight and but a box of "chip brushes" use and throw away. I think they're 10 buck for a box of 36. If its a bigger project move up to a more professional brush. Whatever you can get near you. I definitely don't recommend china bristle. I have been painting for 42 years and find they are overrated junk that don't do as some of these youtube people say. They also aren't made for water based paints and stains. Also dont buy those cheap clunkers with the plasic handles. The bristles suck.

Tom is brave running that thin trim over the table saw with his bare hands

I love it when a newel episode gets uploaded.
@cf5914 I love when your sister squirts 😂
Love the new focus on diy things
I just read the This Old House Instagram post that This Old House landscape contractor Roger Cook is past away.
RIP Roger
Rest in paradise Roger you'll be greatly missed sir.
WOW loved that bird bath.
Love this birdbath! 🐦
All that chipping away…too bad we still don’t know how the Pyramids were built⛏️🔨🪛. Nice Bird Bath❣️
I like the handiwork on the video .
21:37 hmmmmm…fresh wood. Yes!😂
Mark, don't give Kevin dangerous tools, he could hurt himself . Lol
Chop chop boys, It's been a week, Grandpa needs TOH fix.

Yes I agree
That top stone isn't Granite it's Schist
Great video❤ Why glue on the trim if it hadn’t been before? Next time rocky takes a bite it’ll be a bigger pain to remove
It’s just a few dabs of glue to help hold it in place before affixing the trim with the pin nails.
Great video but you still have a problem. 😂
3:17 I don't think that's an 1/8" bit. 1/4" maybe.
9:24 I know that sound. lol

William, there is a typo in your posting. “You brush on the stain witn a quickness”-what kind of brush do you recommend?
@sparkyheberling6115

Good work.
12:00 “I like hand work”
Yeah, that’s not an eighth inch bit
The house interior looks nice unlike the one from the Modern Victorian (S43 E26)
1:58 "Those should be 16 inches on center." Yeah, not on an Old House
How much would it cost? Bird bath
IDK, but you are not getting those boulders around here for $10 each
I think Nathan is a good fit for the show, but I don’t think that was a 1/8” drill bit.
Rip
Most houses have nails not screws
fixed the newel post
I hate when you get a dog that destroys doors and trim
I asking to myself if he earns money or make works for free, on the video don't watch it
What a joke.
And this: I heard in my Water Aerobics class this morning!
