We are planning a Ladakh trip this summer. We will be taking rental bike from Manali to Ladakh. After reaching Leh, We will be taking JK registration bikes for rent. Where can we park our Manali bike?? And where can we drop our extra luggages in Leh to travel to Nubra Valley, Pangong lake??? We need to drop our bags for 2 days. Please someone help me

I think it is better to go by road from Shimla. Because it is heavier to breath after getting down from aeroplane. The air/oxygen level is very low and people are troubling because of the atmosphere. What do you think?

Lehshould be developped as tourist cente n construct hotels ,parks,shopping malls n roads.if leh is conected with rest of india,people will mix with the other patrs of india

We are a family of 3 from Bangalore planning to visit Leh in last week of May 22 to June 02, 2022. Need your suggestions on planning the trip.
After landing in Chandigarh I'm planning to take self drive Zoomcar and drive towards Srinagar - Leh.
Planning to stay 2 days in Srinagar and 4 days in Leh. Need your advice on below:
1) I prefer self drive and already experienced in hilly driving. So, are self drive cars allowed in Srinagar and Ladakh?
2) Please advice stay options in Leh-Nubra valley and Pangong with price details.
3) Total trip planned for 10 days, can I cover everything driving from/to Chandigarh?
Please suggest best trip plan if I'm missing anything.

As per the rules of ALTOA (All Ladakh Tour Operator Association) & LTOCL (Ladakh Taxi Operator Co-Operative Limited) and endorsed by LAHDC (Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council), you can use any commercial taxi from outside Ladakh to reach Leh City or leave it. However, to visit the inner Ladakh, you have to use either your personal vehicle, or use a Leh registered taxi.
Essentially meaning that you can use any self-drive rental on Srinagar-Leh highway and Leh-Manali highway without any disturbance, but you can’t use it to visit Nubra/Pangong/Tso Moriri etc.
At Leh I stayed in Hotel Kidar. It was a three star hotel having nice ambiance. You can book any similar hotel by checking it's review cost was around 3000 per day
In Nubra valley I stayed in a Tent city. It was a bad experience so prefer hotel only.
Stay at Pangong Lake is not advisable because it is not allowed to stay nearby lake so get back to leh
Days are enough so plan well and enjoy the trip

1) Should we take Hotel at Leh for 3-4 days and do local trip to Nubra and Pangong? Or should I book the Hotel in Leh only for 1-2 days?
2) What stay options would you suggest in case if we need to stay overnight at Nubra valley and Pangong?
@@kpallekonda Leh Ladakh are very professional tourist places. You will be getting good hotels very easily. So don't think much about hotels. Distance of each place like Nubra and Pangong Lake is 160 km each side so you need rest. You can plan to stay at Nubra.....rest all days book hotel at leh

Yes you can land at Srinagar or at Jammu airport bu it's not advisable.
Check for affordable flight ticket by changing date

Hi Kunal, Thank you so much for such information. I do have one query as well about the stay. I am planning for a 4-5 days trip without any travel agent and I am not sure how exactly to book hotels..means, should I book 2-night stay at leh only and then another hotel at Nubra Valley for 1 night and then another hotel at Pangong for 1 night. Can I book all these in one go or should I do these bookings separately.? and what about the vehicle booking to visit these places.. does hotel management provide these facilities?

Stay at Pangong don't have any purpose because visitors are not allowed to stay near lake. You have to stay at least 5 km away
You have to book hotels separately if you are booking at your own.....
There are various transport providers through which you can book transport

Brother, pangong lake main night ko stay karna parega kya ? Aur nubra valley main hotel advance booking korna parega ya oha pohuske korne se bhi hoga
Stay karna optional hai... wapas Leh bhi aa sakte hai... Lekin distance bahut hai...ate jate hi bahut time lage ga
Don't saty at Pangong ..but you can stay at nubra
