Even though he is properly nerfed this time. A lot of us will have a sour taste in our mouths because we will only remember the Leroy launch month(s) in which Tekken was honestly at its worst. This shows you much control the devs have over the game. They can remove bullshit high/mid crush,reduce pushback on block etc. They can make the game more logical and less random but they choose to keep those things in. I used to think some of those things were unforseen consequences due to 3D model interactions.
Thanks so much for this comparison man, I don't know why but patch notes in tekken are a bit too ambiguous sometimes. Especially when they say stuff like "changed how opponent reacts to X move" this video format really helps with clarifying stuff like that.
I didnt really mind the damage he got. I would have rather seen a change in his tracking lows. He almost feels like an NRS character with his true 50/50s. I think the changes are totally fine and hes not OP anymore but he has such an annoying game plan. You are always forced to guess mid/low against him.

Having a 12f ch mid launcher sounds obviously super strong but there are other characters in this game who also have bullshit similiar to this.

I figured the new knockdown after the 1,1 string is better in the open. It's kind of a mixup for opponent between getting up and not. A fast f,f1+2 will hit them if they move. A delayed max range f,f1+2 will hit them if they don't move.
Lol what is your ranking? such thing works only on really weak player. While kazuya's hellsweep can be ss l it is 15 frames while Leroy's hellsweep is 18 frames slower.

Well if you will look at other tournaments aside from evo, there are tournaments in which top 8 only have 1 or no Leroy and that is before the Nerf. In Pakistan no Leroy player has yet won a tournament.
Some of these nerfs don't really feel like proper nerfs, I know some may disagree because they're tired of Leroy so every nerf in their eyes feels needed and long overdue, which is mostly true, but at the same time it feels like the development team just got tired of all the complaining and negative feedback(big and small) regarding Leroy and decided to adjust everything just so they could be left alone, like when your little brother wants something and won't stop bothering you so you give up and say "you know what fine! Here you go, now stop bothering me and leave me alone" 1. The damage decrease for 1,1,1+2,1 would've been fine if it still wall splat since there's really no point in counter hit fishing with this against opponents that continue to press buttons while their back is against the wall 2. The damage nerf for 1+2,1+2,1 is fine. 3. The nerf to d1+2 was uncalled for imo. I would've kept it's ability to launch on CH and made it slower on start up(20-22f) and more minus on block(-7 or -8) that way you still have a great CH tool, it's no longer your turn after it's blocked and you're more susceptible to being hit/counter hit due to it being slower than before. 4. The nerf to b1 is fine. 5. The damage nerf to b1+2 is alright, b1+2 going from +6 to +2 is fine, but the decreased distance on block is perfect!however I feel like it should've stayed at -5 or between -5 and -8 instead of it being -9. The increase of recovery frames on whiff is a little much imo, 5 is okay, but 10 is a bit much. 6. The decrease in range to leroy's orbit is fine. 7. The decrease in distance after f,f2 is blocked was needed due to some characters not being able to punish properly. 8. The changes made to f,f3 are fine. I would've made it -5 on block and kept it's homing properties or made it track to one side only. 9. The slight damage nerf and distance changes on f,f1+2 are fine. 10. The damage nerf to ws2 makes no sense because it's only 2 points of damage, it's not a good nerf and it's not a bad one either...It's just oddly there, the distance change on block however was needed. 11. The slight damage nerf to db2 is fine, but it still floor breaks if I'm not mistaken. 12. The damage nerf to the cane is fine, with it's damage the way it is now I'd rather it be his second rage drive(he'd only be able to use it after his health is below 30% it could be a once per match move or a once per round move since his cane string/bnb combo options aren't as strong as they used to be) in exchange...Leroy being given reasonable moves involving his cane wouldn't be bad either. (Idk why I just hate how his cane is only limited to one move) 13. The recovery change to his parry feels good and bad at the same time because it feels needed, but I also know wang's parry wouldn't have gotten the same treatment Overall I'm happy with the nerfs that were needed, although some nerfs felt more crippling rather than feeling like actual balanced adjustments

Murray said the next balance patch will be exclusive to other characters. This patch was exclusive to Leroy so I wouldn’t get my hopes up. His current nerfs are perfectly fine and he’s balance now.
I think that D, 1+2 no being a CH launcher is a little too much only cause the move has lost its frame advantage. Now it’s kinda useless. Other than that everything is perfect. Too bad he’s super boring to play I hope fakuhmram is exciting
They nerfed Leroy way too much, yea he has some good tools still but he gets knocked out of them too easily now compared to other op characters like Law and Mr. Snake Edge himself.
Tekken is a stupid fighting game and always has been. Been playing it for years with my friends, and I just deal. Truthfully, even though I win most of the time, it's still a poorly made game. The hitboxes make no sense and the fantasy fighting is downright ridiculous. Leroy was a poorly made character before his nerf and is still a poorly made character after the nerf. He is basically incomplete. He does not represent real Wing Chun. WC is a lot more formidable than this. And his hand combat does not connect properly. If he attacked properly none of the characters in the game would stand a chance against him... unless the player just doesn't know how to use him.

You can use df+4,3 instead db+1,3 it gives +3 combo dmg (don't works on right,left axis combo and a little hard on df+2,1+2 launcher)

Tekken is a stupid fighting game and always has been. Been playing it for years with my friends, and I just deal. Truthfully, even though I win most of the time, it's still a poorly made game. The hitboxes make no sense and the fantasy fighting is downright ridiculous.
Leroy was a poorly made character before his nerf and is still a poorly made character after the nerf. He is basically incomplete. He does not represent real Wing Chun. WC is a lot more formidable than this. And his hand combat does not connect properly. If he attacked properly none of the characters in the game would stand a chance against him... unless the player just doesn't know how to use him.
