Story 12: The client wasn't billed for the wine. The contract was just worth that much that the cost of the wine was made back within a few weeks of the signing.

To answer the video question, management.
To answer the CC question, once has a manager try to order 50 Snickers for employee appreciation. Bought 50 boxes. My only guys is she didn't pay attention to the price because it wasn't her money. She didn't get in trouble but she didn't live it down either.

The purchase wasn't actually made, but a request to was. There was a guy from another country doing some work for a company I used to work for. The company was paying for a hotel, meals, and the like. He was shocked when the company declined the request to pay for a female companion for him. I found out when he complained, "Other company pay for women. Why not you?" 😂
    He was a real oddball.

This is the first time I’ve heard the term “creative accounting” used outside of the movie, The Producers

It was first used in The Producers, but it's been a standard term in the industry for at least a few decades now. Wikipedia cites a 2002 book about the Enron scandal as one of the first uses of the term in a serious context and a 1995 LA Times article for a more mainstream usage.

14:25 It didn't sound like they billed the client for the drinks, it sounded like they were saying they earned that amount from the client in the first few weeks so it was worth the expense to get them on board. I'm a big fan of my local hockey team and every once in awhile they invite me and several others to a game for free in an effort to sell us ticket packages for other games. It's a small cost to them relative to the amount people will spend, especially if the people end up buying beer or food at the game.

Yeaaahhh the difference between people who get away with it and people who get caught is greed. Never go after money though, go after product, it's harder to track. Back in the 90's when I was in high school I worked at a sandwich shop and they never inventoried certain things. That's what you go for. Chicken meat, veggies, if you bring in your own jug you can fill up with soda after close, etc. Working closing shift I never had to shop for groceries, I just got everything I needed from the cooler. And the way that place over-bought fresh product, I was probably doing the world a favor by reducing waste.

My coworker and I would fill up our cars occasionally with the card. My car was small so I would do it when filling up gas cans that we kept on hand. We also had another store we got propane from that didn't itemized the receipt so we'd get snacks, sodas, and smokes on it. He kinda over did it and started buying tools for himself, filling up his giant dodge pickup too often and eventually was using it to get lunch and haircuts. This was after they had taken it away when he "mistakingly" used the card at a bachelor party spending like 2-3k.

Had a guy go to a work gig in Vegas. Charged ladies, booze and cocaine to his work card.
He was on his way out anyway, so not a bad way to go out.

Somewhat off-topic, but I've seen the flipside of this. Not Vegas, but I did work in a casino for a decade. Absolutely everyone who works on the premises in any capacity has to pass a complete Criminal Records Check and be okayed by the regulatory agency before getting ID. Still, 90% of all theft in casinos is either entirely internal or collusion between staff and players. Access to vast amounts of money just seem to be too much temptation for some people, whether it's a company card, a till, a money, or whatever.
