Last course brought a lot of tension where Overdue did not, and I only enjoyed the beginning and end segments. It's a personal preference of mine though, not everyone needs to have the same opinion

I kinda feel like Overdue is kinda all over the place and falls apart in some parts of the song, so I hope someday there may be a remix that fixes those issues. I think the same thing! The song has crazy potential, the vocals in the first 20-ish seconds are insane, it's a bummer that the rest of the song felt so underwhelming... Like you said, this remix is really good indeed, and does save some of those bits of the song!
When I realized the rest of the song wasn't going to be with those beautiful vocals that Luigi had at the beginning I felt like a kid that was just made aware Christmas isn't real
I like this take! The original's selling point (at least to me) is the ominously ethereal and cinematic-esque instrumental and I'm glad you tried to keep that aspect still present, but made it a bit more intense with some tweaks at the same time! Good job!
@@L3GacY3 I do agree the song falls into a directionless mess, having a little peak in the Forgiven, where well part of the story is actually shown there seemingly his brother helping Pico less to stop his brother in blood and more to calm his heart.(failing to do so) that tragedy is perfectly through the use of the intial happytune used to missdirect now used as a somber melody, I wished the entire song had that mix I somewhat believe it could use more Motifs to better present levels of emotion and control Luigi has while a small somber tune till plays showing despite his resentment he a part cares for his brother as Mario still does for him.
Finally a version WITH the gunshots, i think its a very neat detail showing Pico is gonna shoot everything just to find his friends and escape, amazing remix

ngl, I got completely distracted by the visuals and only actually listened to the music watching it a second time- its real damn good, though. all of it is satisfying.
I came up with an idea, similar to the part where pico runs from an entire army of mr l, but instead at 0:44 the car starts, (and let’s just say it was facing the other way) an mr l wouldn’t chase you, but would appear randomly in the background, and pico would shoot in that direction. More of a concept I came up with

I made a point that since his voice is so monotone, it's hard to distinguish whether he's angry, scared, sad, happy, etc. which ruins the song a lot for me, as he just keeps the exact same tone against Mr. L for the entire song, even during the running section meaning he has the exact same emotion for ~3 minutes against a demon, even during the "faker" Luigi section at the start
