I won't lie, this song just..... it just.... it just hits man 😣 I watched Power Star when it first came out and it still gives me goosebumps to this day.

there's something about this song. it wouldn't work as a replacement of no hope in the context of mario madness' story, not even as a second song but that does not matter here. just because it wouldn't work in mm doesn't mean it's a bad song. it's not my thing, but the drawn out sections and more dramatic soundtrack overall very well resembles devil mario's power in the og power star animation, and more of his character. really, this is like if no hope was repurposed to be in a mod about Power Star and was the finale of that mod, with the voice lines and just in general vibe of the song. the most impressive thing about this is that it still feels deep down like no hope, with the way each character verse and song sections are structured. great work
i really like this more "emotional" approach to no hope! the original wasn't really my thing, and I hoped this would fix my issues with the song, but seeing it's something completely different, i see it as its own thing now. a mix between this and the og would be phenomenal i think.
No Hope (original) captures the feeling of adrenaline and the looming fear of Mario. Whilst this verison shows the tragedy of the aftermath of his actions

I like this take much better than the original! No Hope is okay but while the vocals were something I had to get used to, the song itself doesn't feel like it empowers Power Star as much as this take feels like it does.(Although that may just because the motif has that ending song). I can totally see Devil Mario at the end there slashing Boyfriend's arm off(the one he's holding the mic in), before delivering the true final blow.
This feels less like a reimagining and more like a song for a second stage. The original (in my ears) had nods to the castlevania music at the end of Power Star 1, but this being an AWESOME rendition of Sadness and Sorrow V2 in Power Star 4 makes me think it would have been perfect to follow up on. However, given we've seen GF die already in Powerdown, what if the tables were turned and BF died at the start and it was GF that sang before he was brought back? It'd perfectly reflect DM going against HIS player two; Luigi, in the original story. I still greatly respect the devs even including Power Star in the first place, even if it was played safe to save time for the other big inclusions. Regardless, this was a great listen and makes me happy to know there are fans of this series giving it the love it deserves. Fantastic job!
This is one legendary take on No Hope. I love this song from MM and this take on it really makes Devil Mario seem like much more of a threat, which is much more fitting imo. I love the dialogue too so much. This is purely incredible!
As one of the comments mentioned, this feels like a perfect swap where Content Cosmos is the last world instead of Classified Castle, and acts as a brilliant "replacement" for possibly the last song before you fight Ultra M, maybe "The End" or something similar. It's like a haunting feeling of "You can't do anything, so don't even try" (unintentional Sonic CD ref.), where the song truly lives up to the title and reveals the dark realistic consequences of what could happen if BF and GF lose it all to Ultra M.
I can imagine GF dead behind BF and Pico dead behind Devil Mario, and BF having his sad sprites from DDTO: Bad Ending. Maybe in his regular clothes though because it isn’t DDTO, but it’s because most of this song has a very depressive vibe to it.
I fell in love with this song the first few seconds it played. This is amazing Although I love the original No Hope, this feels way more fitting for Devil Mario and it feels like it came straight from Powerstar. This fits the title No Hope since there is no way you can win against him
No hope is my favorite Mario madness song (I know it’s a weird opinion but it’s mine) and listening to this is amazing. The only thing that wasn’t very good about no hope being the way the vocals are, and now this remix expanding on that and actually making the Mario chromatic sound good is like a blessing. Promising a deal to DM(Devil Mario that's just for short) That He'll give him his version of the Powerstars to DM if he used everything and I mean EVERYTHING against the boy and you know DM Wants those powerstars.

It’s amazing that you turned my second least favorite song into arguably one of the BEST. I think this take still has its own problems (a bit too long, loses the mechanic, the melody feels kinda repetitive) but you really captured the EMOTION SO much better than the actual No Hope. Devil Mario’s chromatics feel much more appropriate here, and I can recognize the leitmotif from the original Power Star too. Very well done!

I rlly like the vibe and intensity of this song, it really shows the menace that Devil Mario was on Power Star and gives a big redemption to his character! Rlly nice work! Also, the metal part of the song (after the melancholic beginning) reminds me of the "Mario Main Theme Metal Cover", that was used as the Intro song for SMBZ, not sure if this was a small reference to that, but it reminded me a lot of it!
