Thank you for demonstrating this. It's an interesting premise, especially for someone like me, having spent a lot of time in Japan. The inclusion of actual places and landmarks is fascinating. It's a slight letdown that Tokyo and Kyoto are the only cities used, although I understand that's for the sake of simplicity. I wonder if the game could be expanded, to allow players to use other pairs of cities. It would be neat if the publisher would consider that. Also, since Rahdo seemed to be wondering: An 'onsen' is a bathing spa, built on a natural hot spring. Onsens can be found in lots of places all around the country.
Lovely looking little game, seems it would be a perfect intro to engine building games too. Added bonus is my sister will love it, with her adoration of visiting Japan.
I might be wrong, but the card drafting and giving reminds me a lot of 7 Wonders with this game being the better of the two and the one I'd use to introduce this mechanic to newer players. It was also nice to see your filming set up, even if it is a make shift set up for the RV.
@18:45 - Both those cards were from the Kyoto deck, but 1 was an Anywhere card. You called them both Kyoto cards and took two Kyoto cards. One of them could have been a Tokyo if you wanted.

my assumption is that the game is poised for expansions :) and thanks for the info!
Your fast forward magic trick was great 😀
What a great concept, it's not often we see something new.

This is definitely a game I will be getting. Thanks for the run through!
This looks like a neat little game! ☺️
I hope the price and game box is small. Santa Monica has such a big useless box for the amount of stuff in there
@@ylein6508 Yeah a P&P version would be great. Although I would consider backing physical if it was a small box at good price.
@@ylein6508 It's in a smaller box than Santa Monica. It's quite packed too. Especially the Matsuri edition

note added... thanks
Looks good. I hope they do a print & play pledge given the siimple compenents. I would prefer that over paying for shipping, etc.
Nice to meet you at Dice Tower West!
Looks fun. Hope covid wasn't too bad for you. Get well soon!
I looked for this video on BGG but couldn't find it there. Did I make a mistake or has it not been put there yet for some reason?
here it is :) boardgamegeek.com/video/428840/lets-go-to-japan/rahdo-previews-lets-go-to-japan
The game looks fun but your pronunciation of Japanese places…ooof 😖
Definitely need the Klingon subtitles for this. So many mistakes. Blame covid.
