Douglas Dakota DC3 C47 Early Passenger Flight from Lympne in Kent to France 1959

Short 8mm cine footage of the Douglas DC3 (G-AMSM) on a passenger flight for Skyways of London. This company had a flight and coach route from Lympne airport in Kent to Beauvais airport in France. This flight took place in 1959. Sadly the plane was damaged beyond repair in a crash at Lydd Aiport in 1978. Following this, the front section of the fuselage has stood at Brenzett Aeronautical Museum (Kent) as a display. Enjoy a view of how flying once was.
