Best Mouth Guard for BJJ Rolling & Hard Training

- A question that I've been asked numerous times is "Which is the best mouth guards to use in BJJ."
I have used a ton of generic boil & bite mouth guards, but those aren't really that great. They fall out easily and don't stay stuck in during hard rolling sessions where I'm breathing heavy.
Back in 2022 I was contacted by a company called Trufit Customs which makes mouthguards and they wanted to see if I would try 1 out with my BJJ training. I used the mouthguard during my training for No Gi Worlds 2022 and have used it ever since. It's a great mouthpiece for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu training.
These mouth guards are molded to your teeth to provide protection and comfort. The mouthguard also stays lodged in place at all times so even if you're really getting after it, the mouthpiece will stay put..

These mouth guards are legit, had one for a while and they work great
The plastic one is a SISU and I love mine.

Those SISU mouth guards are great. I went though a handful before finding them. They are actually meant for grinding your teeth in your sleep, right? If so, proves that breathablity is key.
Saved the link in my notes gonna need to get a new one soon and this made me fine with giving them a try
I used impact mouthguards. American company and the customer service is great. Funny this video popped up because I just ordered my second mouthguard after having my first one for about a year.

I'm going to my 7th BJJ class tonight and so glad I ran across this. I've already caught an accidental elbow and a knee to the face. Don't want my chops busted, looking into these.
Damn that's rough. I'm more worried about getting my nose broken. We have a purple belt who likes to go 2000 mph at all times and has a habit of smacking people in the face, including me.
As someone who's sunk his teeth into his lip multiple times and had bad tongue bites from headbutts and knees, just wear the damn thing.
I wear mine even when drilling. Very easy to catch an elbow or knee especially with white belts…ps I’m a white belt

I have one! It’s nice to breathe with and also drink water.
I have a shock doctor one that seems good, it’s got a combination of harder and softer areas.
This brand is high quality, its not the one I prefer but its a little bit cheaper than my brand which can be a plus for grapplers on a budget who still want to protect their teeth very well.
I have the white one and it works fine. I can breathe and talk with it in. Don't have a problem with it falling out.

I use the one my dentist made for me to help prevent teeth grinding during sleep. It fits perfectly and it works.

I've got the SISU one too. It's functional and $20. I really need one because I have loose teeth already. I'm 71 with thinning bones.
I didn't like the sisu one much.

There's no way the SISU falls out, feels like I'm pulling my teeth out when I remove it.
I’ve never chipped teeth or injured my mouth in rolling, but I have while drilling.
The plastic SISU ones are the best - you must not have fit it correctly it holds extremely well.
Does anyone have an issue with sisu mouth guard cutting the inside of the lips?

Bit my tongue rolling when my partner's knee connected with my chin. I don't recommend it.
Does anyone remember the name of that company that would give you like $10,000 or more if you busted your teeth while wearing their mouth pieces??? Have any of you guys wore that and busted your teeth??? If so, how did that go?

It's sensitive early on. That goes away. But get it fixed. Pretty easy procedure.
