How to set Live Wallpaper on Mac in 2024

- Many have been asking for the Live Mac Wallpaper Trick. Here's how to set your own video or screen recording as your own Live Video wallpaper on Mac. This can be done on most of the Macs and MacBooks.
We have done this in MacOS Sonoma but this could probably be done on many OS. Let us know if it worked for you.

Hi, so i followed your tutorial step by step and it worked!! i've encountered an issue, i was hoping you could help me out. So the image comes out rotated to the left, rather than it being landscape. im not sure how to fix it. Is that something you could possibly help me out with? :) Thanks for your help!!

I have the totally same question as you, and i found out that you can just record the video on your mac rather than on your iphone so that you can have the same resolution and size for the mac. however i can just only play one time of the live wall paper and then it will stop. i cannot replay twice...

Worked first time and only once. When I log in it just shows a black screen. Doesn't work again if I close and open it again.
At least in the Sequoia Developer Preview, this is very inconsistent in actually working - at least from my experiences. I might keep trying and troubleshooting with different files too, but it'll sometimes work and then not at all. Most of the time, it'll be a black screen or default to the beta wallpaper.
We cannot do this with sound right?

This worked for me, however only if I set the screensaver and wallpaper as the same thing. I was hoping to have an image as my wallpaper and disney 100 as my screensaver, but when I set them differently the screensaver assumed the image on the wallpaper. I just changed all my setting back.
To those asking, there is no sound on the screensaver.

In my case it works, but only for one time closing and opening my MacBook. As soon as I close and open again it will not play. Do you have an answer for this problem?

1- Open Finder
2- Shift-Command-G: Open a Go to Folder window.

okay friends. I have played with thing for way too long. Here is what I found out. Its a bit of party trick, it will not do it every single time, I get to do it fully one time and then it just goes black and nothing happens. If you pick another screensaver, and then come back to this Disney screen saver it will work again. But after one try it, it will once again go black and then you have to repeat the process if you want to see see this Disney screensaver again. This has been my experience, maybe its my machine is too old to work properly, its a 2020 Macbook. I will try it on something newer and see if that gives me a different outcome.

Mine didn't work. I have followed the steps repeatedly, didn't work. It is still the the original landscape video even though i copied and pasted. Please advise
Maybe there’s an additional space in front or at the end when you copy and paste the title over?
After numerous attempts I got it working, but as soon as I rebooted it stopped working
After doing all the steps, it's only work for the first time. After closing the lid or the computer wake after sleep it just shown blacscreen. Alreaydy reboot/changed another video but result is the same
