- It's chaos in Chicago when a twister hits the city!
From Married With Children, Season 11 Episode 1, 'Twisted'. Bud has discovered that Ariel gets turned on by life-threatening situations and has decided to stage a fake tornado while they seek shelter in the Bundy's basement. However, a real twister appears in Chicago causing the rest of the Bundys and the Jeffersons to seek shelter too!

One of those rare occasions when a show only got better til the end. The later half of Married with children are just gold specially with the addition of Griff.

Part of the legend.
Watch how Al was casted, they had been through everyone and he showed up 2 weeks before filming. He talks about it in an interview, most other Al guys yelled like Jackie Gleason

0:05 The actress could barely could stop herself from busting out laughing, that's how funny the scene was. If what I read online was correct, she was a local comedian at time of filming that wrote the jokes herself.
Don't know about her but most of these actresses were well known in the industry and professionals... I hate comments "praising their bravery" like they were some kind of damsel in distress or weak women who didn't know the entertainment business.

@@redacted2275 but it's true, nowadays they don't have much scripts likein this show because people don't have humour anymore, everything has to be polite and equal and the truth(fat IS NOT beautiful)is one of the biggest sins and everyone sues and gets hurt and gets lifelong traumas and depression. In our fake world you must fake it to stay alive and to keep your business; smile and admire and scream "oh my Goood how exciting" to everything, especially if you get a puppy, and cry loads of tears of happiness for the camera and pretend,pretend,pretend.
I swear, only "Married… with children" could make even a Twister funny. Always loved the whole cozy vibe of the show. During the heavy rain and the twister episode you really felt the coziness of the Bundy house. It's great when a set can really translate that kind of feeling via the Screen. And for a show shot basically entirely in the studio (except for some few episodes that had exterior shots) the whole thing works fantastically for the stories and especially the visual gags. This show was absolutely worth every single cent of the production costs. ❤

I saw the movie Twister in the theatres back in the days, it was sold out I went with my dad and two older brothers. I had to sit in one area and my dad in another area and my two older brothers in a different seating lol it was crowded.

Actually, since Chicago is in the Midwest, the city is prone in having tornadoes. In the late 60s, the town was almost hit by one, it dissipated on the western suburbs just shy of the Loop.
