0:30 we are not calling ourselfs DEARS just because we want. We do it because DIMASH call us DEARS

Yes, unlike other fandoms who name themselves, Dimash named us his Dears and did it in the Kazakh traditional way of saying it 5 times in succession on his Instagram account.

Dimash himself calls his fans Dears BECAUSE HE REPEATEDLY SAYS WE ARE AS DEAR TO HIM AS HIS FAMILY...AND HE MEANS IT.

  • @kenhamaker

Dimash refers to his fans as dears, because they are dear to him and he is connected to the and grateful. So Dimash fans gladly assume the name because it's a privilege.

👉 Dimash does it again and again. He surprises us every time. I love his versatility and creativity, his wonderful voice. It doesn't fit into any box and I love that. It never gets boring.
I like the moment in the video when he smiles sensually cheeky at us, his dears, as if to say: 'Look at me and scream and rage.' I'm going to seduce this pretty blonde now... because I can! '
The two voices that come out of the scratchy gramophone are the original recordings of the LAKME flower duet from 1915 with two Russian sopranos (Maria Mikhailova (1864-1943) (soprano, interpreting Lakmé) and Antonina Panina (1870-1941) (mezzo-soprano, interpreting Mallika) - th-cam.com/video/91h-O_80Zq8/w-d-xo.html
In the Dimash News it is written:
On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye.
The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story.
“Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director.
Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist.
The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame.
The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon.
“Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. We wanted the song to sound groovy, cinematic, epic, and bold. No holding back!,” shared Dmytro Gordon. (Dimash News)

Yes, DimashAli Creative Center is Dimash's own production company run by his dad. No, that is not Dimash singing the intro and outro. That is the original recording from 1915.

A great reaction. On DimashAli…a German tv show featured Dimash as one of 6 young people changing their industries. They said he is largely seen as a business genius and that DimashAli is now one of the largest production companies in the world, covering an entire campus of buildings in Kazakhstan with buildings for sound stages, video production facilities, marketing, etc. He is changing music not only by his incredible talent and versatility, he is also doing it by being entirely in control of his career. All you see is under the complete control of Dimash (assisted by his dad, Kanat)
This video in every way is a masterpiece.

  • @zemanoshtronz

    Dimash is a genius!
A great storyteller and paradigm breaker!
Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality...
Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is:
A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures.
Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing...
The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details.
As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone!
The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! The impeccable editing with precise cuts that complete the script, simple and extremely efficient effects and masterful performances: Dimash (the seductive and tormented vampire, Polina Guzieva (the passionate journalist), Manuel de Jesús Sánchez Sotolongo (the sinister butler) and the harem of soulless vampires (Angelin Sapozhnikova, Valeriya Lyasheva, Andreana Tkachenko, Maria Aristatarkhova, Lilia Kiser and Klinnyushina Alina), superb!
The music is a show in itself: a mix of Blue, Scat, Jazz, R&B, Rock... Captivating variations: a bridge to the chorus full of strength and seduction and a beautiful chorus inspired by classic rock and dexterity and Dimash's agility! In addition to the well-placed guitar solo performed by Abik Jeksen!
The video captures and captivates from the beginning to the sign, which we let pass while still mesmerized by the “spell” of the vampire who can break the fourth wall!
A giant, masterful, modern work that makes you want to watch it several times!
    1000 out of 10!
    Hugs from a Brazilian!

We are DEARS because Dimash has declared us to be "precious and Dear to him like family"
We also thought it was Dimash singing "The Flower Duet" at first but it was proven to be the original gramophone recording on 78 in 1915.

I think the word you were looking for is probably the most commercial song? You can say it, it won't offend the Dears 🤣
What always amazes me is that to the casual listener, it may appear to be a more commercial song suitable for the western market but when it's picked apart you realise that it's been given the usual Dimash treatment of making it appear simple but with all the small differences that make it interesting and keep us on our toes.
He's growing as a composer as well as an artist and through his own songs is showing us who he wants to be, not what other composers think he should be with all the high notes and vocal acrobatics.
Plus I always love his music videos, they are mini movies in themselves, each one different and he came up with the original idea. I love that cheeky smirk as he turns towards her neck as if he's saying will I or won't I?
As per usual he leaves the ending open to interpretation, for the first time I noticed the look on her face through the car window, she appears wistful as if she's regretting the loss of something, this leads me to wonder if she's returning from the mansion because he's chosen to spare her life and her humanity sacrificing his need for her love in the process.

Thank you. 'The Flower Duet' at the beginning and ending is a 1915 recording. The soprano is Maria Alexandrovna Mikhhailova (1864 - 1943) and the Mezzo Soprano is Antonina Ivanovna Panina (1870) = 1941). I love Dimash's use of R&B/soul/blues/rock in this. It is stellar. His vocals are wonderful to hear as is his delivery. The music video is done so professionally and is acted perfectly. The story is that Dimash (DQ) is secretive about his private life and this unknown reporter has been granted an interview. She is nervous and fantasizes/dreams of what his private life might be like, and comes up with this vampire theme. :) ... or it is really what she experienced... :D She imagines that he loves her and she saves him. The lyrics could be used for many different scenarios of slavery, or confinement, or any situation where someone wants to free themselves from the situation that they are in, and love saves them. I appreciate the musical information that you shared with us about what Dimash is doing. Love this.

I want to suggest some of the songs that I think is a must. I don't know if you have all reactions in your Dimash list and I can see that one of the songs probably has been blocked. My guess is it Know. Either way, there is two versions of it, both are worth watching. One of them is a vocalisation from his concert in Kyiv. Another great song from Kyiv is Mademoiselle Hyde. Another must is Ikanaide

Well, Dimash has a duet with Placido Domingo, here on TH-cam,
Also we have Dimash (unplugged) singing Omir with his little brother Manseur on the acoustical guitar,
There are quite a few newer Dimash songs

Uhm, I think pistachio is a nut and what you meant to say was passaggio. Passaggio refers to the transition or “break” between lower and higher vocal registers (often called “chest voice” and “head voice”), that singers may choose to enhance (as in yodel) or to smooth out (as in classical singing).

Put the subs on and you will seethe lyrics that you like, its not scatting its actual words. You need to watch more of his pop, rock, rap songs if you like his contemporary work. Dont keep watching the Igor Krutoy collaborations ❤

not really messing with subdivisions - just adding 1 or 2 2-note grace notes before next main subdivision grouping
