Mine definitely don't qualify for "cozy" LOL! I have two, they're each a series of games, and both on PC - Mystery Case Files and Paranormal Files. (I seem to have a thing for detectives and detective-y types, plus supernatural, magical, spooky, horror-ish, etc ^_^) PF especially is getting me right now because the main character of the series has NOT been the main character of the most recent two games. He's barely been in them at all! In fact, the POV of those games as well as her team (all friends of the original POV, Rick) have been looking for him now for 15 years! But...bonus chapter of the most recent game is the closest to a solid lead they've had all this time. I haven't played it yet because I've streaming the series with two friends, but MAN I hope we find what the hell's happened to Rick soon! ^__^ But of course, between the two series . . . the Master Detective (POV of the MCF games) has my heart. XD
i’m obsessed with acnh but no one’s recommendations seem to fit with what i like. i’m so super excited for puffpals island skies tho! i really hope you’ll review it when it comes out
Something that I've just started playing this week that I would recommend is "Grow: Song of the Evertree"! Super cute graphics, some town building...and getting to take care of plants and little worlds!
I knew Cozy Grove was going to be in the “so obvious I’m going to get them out of the way at the beginning” section. I recommend “A Short Hike”, it is very obviously Animal Crossing inspired, right down to buried items marked by dark brown dirt stars on the ground. Very cozy, very charming, very much worth your time even though as the title suggests, it won’t take up very much of it.
I would like to add some games! All of these games are cozy and relaxing 🥰 - Time On Frog Island - Mini Motorways - Ooblets - Wyde Flowers - DreamLight Valley - Mika And The Witch’s Mountain - Summer In Mara - Grow: Song Of The Evertree - Unpacking - Road 96 - Life Is Strange True Colors - Sky Children Of The Light (free) - A Short Hike - Arise: A Simple Story - Hoa - Bugsnax
I love hearing your game recommendations! I'm way into Stardew Valley and started playing Animal Crossing because of how cool your videos and terraforming are. Actually just bought Arceus and am waiting for the weekend to dive in. Cat Cafe and Garden Story look SO cute! Putting those on my future games to buy list for sure. Another TH-camr that I follow - Charlie Barley - started playing a game called Apico. It's about saving bees, you might like it! Looks very chill and like something to pick up for an hour or so whenever you feel like it.
One game that I started playing is Cookie run kingdom the aesthetic of building your kingdom as you go is so fun and reminds me of acnh everything is super cute and it’s so easy to create your layout and use your imagination. They’re so many cute decorations, plus they’re getting a huge Disney crossover right now!!
Me too!! Not what I was expecting when everywhere said it was so relaxing and stress relieving but I think adding mods helps so I'm gonna revisit it like that. I feel like I am just perpetually confused and overwhelmed. On another note I really liked Havenpark! Very cute and wholesome and more relaxed :)
I 100% Littlewood as my Animal Crossing/SDV replacement. Cute graphics, able to design your town. Terraforming~!!! Marriagable villagers!!! Its so cute and so underrated.
I played Pokémon Arceus and I loved it. Just like you I’ve never played Pokémon, and this game is a great introduction. Not super challenging, except for a couple of battles. I will definitely check out some of these games
Wish I had more recommendations, but I really love Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It's my first Kirby game and I'm addicted. My kids saw me playing it and are now hooked on it too.
Must really recommend Dragon Quest Builders 2. An RPG where the main aspect is building, precious graphics and a social aspect for those that wish to play with others (not necessary in the slightest though). You keep unlocking building abilities and recipes till the end and I have been simply astounded by the masterpieces some players have created!
Littlewood is a GREAT cozy game for people who love Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and/or Story of Seasons! Very cute little town builder about rebuilding in the wake of a giant fantasy story. You play as the Great Hero of the story, but you've lost your memories. You get charged with building up a village and attracting residents. There's even a romance option 👀
Some cute recs, Lex! I also think ✨️Unpacking✨️ is a cozy game. It tells a sweet story & you just unpack boxes & put things away. Switch & Playstation are my consoles of choice 🤍
I definitely recommend Kitaria Fables. I found out about this game from SwitchForce when he made a video talking about it saying it was like Animal Crossing with adventure and combat. I bought it immediately after watching the video, and every time I play it, I get hooked. For me, it feels like a mix of AC and Terraria.
I wanna suggest Bugsnax! It's a lot like Pokemon Legends in regards to catching creatures in the wild, but there's a lot more involvement between the creatures and you and your tools and other creatures around them as well. The NPCs are super charming and silly, everyone looks like a muppet creature but they all have really in depth personalities and stories to them. You play as a journalist trying to look into this Bugsnax phenomena so it's sort of like a detective game too! The music is really fun and gets stuck in my head, the creatures are silly, I haven't finished the story yet but it's grabbed ahold of me... But in regards to it being "cozy" and fitting that category, I guess for me I really like catching creatures and puzzling out how to catch the harder ones while I listen to ambient music, so if y'all like that sorta stuff I definitely recommend it now that it's out on the Switch.
If you like the cute look I'd recommend the link's awakening remake. If you want more of a chill mindless game, unpacking. I love how it looks and it's so sweet!
Games like this are definitely what I need right now since I ended up catching covid and the flu at the same time. Thanks for the calm happy recommendations (even though I've heard of all of them before haha) ❤️ I was just playing Cozy Grove for the first time in forever today I think Garden Paws is pretty cute but I can't remember if it's on the switch
Ngl the other games on your list are great, but if I'm going to get anything it will probably be Townscaper. I've been trying to remodel my island to be the town my friends built in our Dungeons and Dragons campaign, and it has been a long and arduous process. However, that Townscaper looks like a great game that I could do exactly that instantly. So thank you for bringing the game to my attention.
I think I have the Pokémon game you mentioned? Or not. I bought one recently, it’s the one where you fall out of the sky in the beginning and for some reason you end up having to collect 3 Pokémon who have escaped. Didn’t get past that point, just couldn’t get into it.
I don't know about "PLA" I've played it and it's not as cozy as animal crossing, I recommend "Pokémon brilliant diamond/shining pearl" it gives a familiar vibe to animal crossing
Thanks for the recommendations! Oh man, I fell hard in love with My Time at Portia a few years ago. When I finished the story I was left feeling empty. I have mixed feelings about the game. I did marry Arlo but I didn't realize I needed to put on the wedding dress I worked so hard to make BEFORE I went to meet everyone on my wedding day.😯
hm choosing my favorite non ac game for the switch is hard I'd have to say Arceus I guess? But I also really like Dicey dungeons and Graveyard keeper. Though I have many games to complete still. >_< so many games so little time.
My Time At Portia is playable, but a mess on the Switch. The animation is messed up, and for somebody who likes to chill with a game, it's too confusing. I've played for hours and never completed one task. Cozy Grove and Stardew Valley - really don't like the animation. I have Arceus, which is nice, and I think Kirby looks good. I want something to play that is beautiful and low stress, because I play them to chill. Animal Crossing is perfect, so I guess I'll keep playing until the next one comes out. Two islands per Switch is my fervent wish.
These all look really great! (except PLA which doesn't just "look" great to me, I already have it and really need to get back to actually playing it XD;;;)
Garden story is really nice, but I can't get myself to play much of it because it has bright flashes for some animations(like when you discover something, or gain an item) and it gives me headaches, I wish there was a settings menu for it in the game.
I played Cozy Grove for months. Now, I can’t stand the game. It’s wayyyy to claustrophobic & cluttered on the screen. And it’s all grinding. I deleted the game.
so happy to see you try another not-acnh vid i’m not playing so much any more but i really like your content so super keen to see more!! awesome work ps. play the sims 😂
8:30 - 8:36 I felt seen and represented 🥹💕 im definitely going to give that cat cafe and town builder a try! I really love those kinds of games and I’m so glad you made this video!
Even if it’s not a cozy game, what’s your favorite non-animal crossing game at the moment?
Splatoon since it’s the one I’m currently playing through
I'm replaying Mass Effect 1-3 for the nth time because it's a cozy game for me. Exploration, collecting, lots of minor story to explore, etc.
Yoshi's Crafted World
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for sure!! I love BOTW so much! Some aspects like the villages and exploring are very cozy. :)
Mine definitely don't qualify for "cozy" LOL! I have two, they're each a series of games, and both on PC - Mystery Case Files and Paranormal Files. Omg yesssss I’ve seen little snippets on social media and I’m so excited!! 🥺💕
same!!
Me too I cannot wait to play it 😭
Can’t wait!
Something that I've just started playing this week that I would recommend is "Grow: Song of the Evertree"! Super cute graphics, some town building...and getting to take care of plants and little worlds!
Absolutely loved this game I would recommend Yonder The cloud catcher Chronicles made by the same team I believe.
@@lauraSarah Ooooh...thanks!!!
I knew Cozy Grove was going to be in the “so obvious I’m going to get them out of the way at the beginning” section.

I would recommend haven park very similar to a short hike.
I love, Sky: Children of the Light. It’s relaxing, there’s no sense of urgency, they have seasonal offerings in the game, and it’s FREE!
I would like to add some games! All of these games are cozy and relaxing 🥰
- Time On Frog Island
- Mini Motorways
- Ooblets
- Wyde Flowers
- DreamLight Valley
- Mika And The Witch’s Mountain
- Summer In Mara
- Grow: Song Of The Evertree
- Unpacking
- Road 96
- Life Is Strange True Colors
- Sky Children Of The Light (free)

- Arise: A Simple Story
- Hoa
- Bugsnax

I looooove charliebarley!

I found Stardew to be so stressful 😅 the day goes by too fast
Yeah, I don't like passing out and losing stuff. Yikes!
waaay too fast
I 100% Littlewood as my Animal Crossing/SDV replacement. Cute graphics, able to design your town. Terraforming~!!! Marriagable villagers!!! Its so cute and so underrated.
I tried to get into it but couldn’t!! Maybe I need to play it again
Little wood felt so empty and boring to me, I do not understand what people get from it.
Im playing Pokémon arceus and i LOVE it. Been playing for 270 hours now. I’ve been playing almost every day.

I actually needed this because i only have animal crossing as a cozy game soo ty
Some other very good hanes are night in the woods and eastward
Night in the Woods was incredible! Fits my taste to a T
Harvest Moon One World is a great cozy game.
If you like the cute look I'd recommend the link's awakening remake. If you want more of a chill mindless game, unpacking. I love how it looks and it's so sweet!
Games like this are definitely what I need right now since I ended up catching covid and the flu at the same time. Thanks for the calm happy recommendations (even though I've heard of all of them before haha) ❤️
I was just playing Cozy Grove for the first time in forever today
I think Garden Paws is pretty cute but I can't remember if it's on the switch
"Imagine getting to be a little fruit. I mean, some of you probably can." I'm crying omg
Ngl the other games on your list are great, but if I'm going to get anything it will probably be Townscaper. I just downloaded Cat Cafe Manager as I'm getting burnt out on Animal Crossing but had no idea what to play!
Bring me all the kitties!
I am really enjoying playing dragon caffi and cat cafe manager lately. Both are super cute 💜😄
I love PLA! Shiny hunting has become my new obsession
Highly recommend Monument Valley....amazing music and the most precious of princesses❤️
Ok now I've been obsessed with Townscaper for the last 2 weeks TYVM
Thank you so much for sharing! 🙌🏼 this video with your commentary is incredibly helpful!
Love you doing videos like this! Great picks too! 😄👍🏼
I’ve had Townscaper on my wishlist for a while and I just got an email that it’s on sale, so guess it’s time! Thanks for the fun video!
Calico is a super cute cozy game too. It's on switch and pc.
I think I have the Pokémon game you mentioned? Or not. I bought one recently, it’s the one where you fall out of the sky in the beginning and for some reason you end up having to collect 3 Pokémon who have escaped. Didn’t get past that point, just couldn’t get into it.

calico is a wholesome silly cozy game recommendation as well 💗
I’ve wanted to play all of these! Thanks for making this type of video!
Pokémon Legends Arceus was so fun! I definitely would recommend that to anyone who hasn’t played it yet! 😄
i wish u included some of ur own game play! super cool doe
I enjoyed the video, but I gotta admit that I was more interested in your island in this video lol. Have you released the dream address?
Coming from acnh, stardew valley is too complicated. I tried it free for one evening and couldn’t understand it.
Thanks for the recommendations! Oh man, I fell hard in love with My Time at Portia a few years ago. When I finished the story I was left feeling empty. I have mixed feelings about the game. I did marry Arlo but I didn't realize I needed to put on the wedding dress I worked so hard to make BEFORE I went to meet everyone on my wedding day.😯
🥹😭 good to know
This was so helpful! Thank you for making his video
Thank you for the recommendations! You're super awesome Lex❤️ Stay hydrated😊
hm choosing my favorite non ac game for the switch is hard I'd have to say Arceus I guess? But I also really like Dicey dungeons and Graveyard keeper. Though I have many games to complete still. >_< so many games so little time.
Ooblets is kinda fulfilling the ACNH vibes for me atm!
But planet zoo tho. That takes terraforming to a whole new level. And cute animals. ♥️ it is difficult to master tho haha
Sadly working in a cat cafe in real life make me not want to play the cat cafe game which makes me sad
Townscaper looks so satisfying omg I need it 😍❤️
Brb putting all of these on my Wishlist and downloading townscaper IMMEDIATELY 👏
Aw my birthday is august 16th happy birthday lex's mom 🎉
My Time At Portia is playable, but a mess on the Switch. The animation is messed up, and for somebody who likes to chill with a game, it's too confusing. These all look really great! (except PLA which doesn't just "look" great to me, I already have it and really need to get back to actually playing it XD;;;)
Can you do a free version?
Will try cat cafee
Anyone who likes acnh and fighting games Animal royal is just yes I’ve been playing it way to much
Garden story is really nice, but I can't get myself to play much of it because it has bright flashes for some animations(like when you discover something, or gain an item) and it gives me headaches, I wish there was a settings menu for it in the game.
They need to get Paleo Pines out already
Kirby Is super fun I play it
I played Cozy Grove for months. Now, I can’t stand the game. It’s wayyyy to claustrophobic & cluttered on the screen. And it’s all grinding.
I deleted the game.
ive played 450 hours of animal crossing and more cause i deleted my first ever island cause i didnt like it idk why i did regret it but now i dont lol

Hello
Arceus is not cozy lol
𝔭𝔯𝔬𝔪𝔬𝔰𝔪 😏

8:30 - 8:36 I felt seen and represented 🥹💕 im definitely going to give that cat cafe and town builder a try! I really love those kinds of games and I’m so glad you made this video!
thanks
