thanks for the comment I bought the letters from my local craft store, as you can tell im a beginner and not skilled enough to make my own letters but thanks for watching.
If you don't like sanding, why not plane the wood with a bench plane? You could also chamfer the corners with the plane. You don't really need the little shelf, because the hooks could have gone directly into the back board. If you are going to have a shelf, you don't need the dado, the screws, and the glue. Any one of them would hold the weight of some keys. And why the word "Home"? In case you think you're at the supermarket, or the customs offfice?
thanks for the comment, I'm very new to this and I'm working with the tools I have available. im trying out different things on small projects so I can move on to bigger and better things in the future. I added the word home because that's what my wife asked for.
@@MOOCHCAM OK, now it makes sense that you might include more operations and features than are really needed in order to familiarize yourself with new things. I think you will find using a bench plane (perhaps a Number 3 or a Number 5) fun and rewarding. Lots of luck.
