Whatever you think of him, and I was personally hoping they’d draft his replacement, Jones played well. It wasn’t even close to “poorly”. The Giants defense was the problem with Sunday’s game. Considering the time of possession, the offense played well. They had a few opportunities, and made most of them count.

The frustrating thing is the same exact thing happened last year we have a 51 man roster there’s no reason not to have a backup same thing with punt returners why is there no backup 2 years in a row giants shooting themselves in the foot on special teams which should really be no factor

We keep saying that the defense didn't play all that bad because they only gave up field goals... WHAT?? Maybe if the defense didn't give up so many yards and clock we would of had 2-3 more possessions!!! RIDICULOUS... Not to mention the kicker garbage.
In 40 years of being a Giants fan I can’t remember ever disliking a coach as much as I do Brian Daboll .. He makes absolutely awful decisions and has cost this team multiple games on his own ..I have confidence in Schoen , and Jones and none in Daboll .. The guy is an absolute spiteful , vindictive, man baby of a coach and I can’t wait for him to be gone .. Brian Daboll is the problem with the Giants .. Say what you want about Wink.. The players respected him and played hard for him.. These players have zero respect for Daboll .. he’s irrelevant to them ..

@@FINEST-uk8nc Agreed. I think part of the reason the Giants struggled in the 70's is because they didn't adapt to how the sport had changed. Don't make that mistake again. Get a younger guy with innovate ideas and an open mind.

His hamstring wasn’t hurt before the game. He had a groin injury that he tested during warmups and managed to kick a 56 yarder during it.
It’s just bad luck he hurt his hamstring on the kickoff. Entirely different injury

Washington never punted. You can whine that Gano got injured and play "what if". "What if" Washington didn't have false starts on all 5 of their redzone trips? "What if" two or three of those field goals had been touchdowns?

Dont know how there is no talk about his influence on ruining this team by hiring Gettelmann, Shurmor, Judges and forcing coordinater like Garett on Judge and coaches he likes on his headcoaches and player contracts on Schoen. Daboll and Shoen had never a chance.

We will see how the Browns game goes but there was definitely improvement everywhere from week 1. It’s a brand new d system and DJ is coming off a bad injury. Time will tell but all the melting down over 2 weeks is a bit much. Let’s see if the improvement continues or if it was just cause they played DC

Why would they be panicked?. The season is finished. If u genuinely believe the Giants were going somewhere this season, then u obviously do not know football.
If Daniel Jones is the guy, you go all out. If you’re cutting ties with Daniel at the end of the season, you need a QB. You need to lose games. Not rocket science.
Personally this organazation hasnt shown me they can draft the right players; so I I don't thik it makes sense to advocate for losing games for a higher pick. We have had so many misses in the first round.
Also its worth mentioning that we could potentially find a serviceable bridge QB through FA or maybe even a trade. No need to get tunnel vision and force a QB in the draft.
Im sure your more than aware of all of the 1st overall picks who havent panned out over the years. I watch every sunday no matyer how the season is going and I want wins, when we lose its painful and tanking dosent work if you dont pick the right players.

Has there ever been an NFL QB who was successful without at least a decent offensive line? I've been watching football since the 1950's and I can't think of one. Certainly not Boomer. Receivers and running back? Except for this new kid, Malik, a sad bunch of journeymen.
You cannot judge a QB until he has the tools around him. Eli Manning, great with the right cast, a flop with cast he had in later years. I couldn't figure out how a team with a Super Bowl winning QB would let the players around him deteriorate so much.
If I was Daniel Jones I'd be begging for a trade to Miami.

This team is so flawed. They don't have the players to fit the defense scheme. Joe is the one to blame the mose. He overestimates his ability to evaluate talent, doesn't listen to people he asks for what they want, and has made the cap situation worse. Thus far Banks seems to be the only hit in his drafts. Bobby O seems to be his only FA success. Everything else is fure failure on Joe's part. Daball is also to blame.

You guys are dismissing the Commanders but the reality is that this could of have easily been a blowout by the Commanders. They were in the red zone 7 times. It wasn't so much the Giants defense that stopped them ending in a field goal but it was penalties in the red zone that lead to field goals. Imagine if one or two or three of those 7 red zones would have ended in a touchdown. It wouldn't have even been close. Imagine if all 7 times in the red zone ended in a touchdown we would be looking at 49-18. That maybe a stretch but it could have happened.
So, yes the Giants need to panic

John Mara firing four head coaches over eight years will not deter qualified candidates from wanting the job.

This is the first huge mistake he’s made as a young head coach. Mistakes are very finite for every coach.
There is the possibility that this regime gets blown up by the end of the year IF this year goes completely off the rails and truly hits rock bottom - which I thought we may have already hit in years past. Other than that, I think this regime will have one more chance to prove themselves with their own quarterback in next years draft.
Schoen is the one way over his head as a GM. Just look as his personnel moves.
