It seemed as if they were holding back a little. It looked like Buakaw had the potential to knock him out, but didn't. And no muay thai fans would want that outcome. Specially with Saenchai being a lot of people's favorite fighter. At the end of the day despite the fight looking more like a hard sparring, we're all happy they got paid for it. In my opinion, like you said. I dont think this fight should've happened. It hurts to see our favorite fighter getting hurt on top of that, breaking his finger
it was a show. Watch on their channel they already sparred few years back. This fight was pretty much the same. Yes they threw more powerfull kicks but it was not a reall fight.

They fought for us to enjoy it. Just enjoy it. They have a TH-cam history of play fighting each other so it was one of those fights everyone wanted to see. Question is who will Buakaw have to fight next to keep his bareknuckle title?

Hi, it was funny that it was watching it like you, also hard to watch, because we are watching friends hurting each other, and watching a legend in a fight with an almost invincible opponent, but I am ok with the fight. The fight doesn´t make sense... but at the same time it does, For buakaw I am sure it means something since he har the opportunity to fight his idol, and to see that despite his advantages, he didn´t have it easy. And for Saenchai, this must have been the ultimate test to his abilities, and he might have learned that there is still some room for improvement. Buakaw is like you said a tank, probably the hardest opponent in his career, who happens to be his friend. So it may not make too much sense for us, but I think that it makes sense for them. By the way Saenchai said at the end that he wanted to throw more punches but he hurt one of his fingers, maybe that is why he also switched to orthodox. Which leads me to state that it was unfortunate that this fight happened under these shitty rules and with BARE KNUCKLES, but this company is the only one that was interested in doing this match. If they had fought under traditional rules and with gloves, maybe the fight might have been a bit different, with more Saenchai magic. Despite having a similar outcome, most likely.

I can say that the previous 2-3 fights Buakaw looked slow. But after he lost 10 kilos, this is like Buakaw at 29-30. He looks agile, should fight at this weight.

They both held back. Buakaw literally apologized after landing the first head kick. Also hesitated a lot when punching and seemed to be off-target intentionally.

It wasn't real. It was sparring at best.They clearly weren't trying to hard. I could even see buakaw throw some knees that he purposely stopped before contact.

@@PaintedPapi not my thought but what saenchai said at the end of the fight: buakaw lost 10KG and saenchai gained weight so they fought at almost the same weight....they are both 40+ so there were no age advantage here.....
In all fairness, they both got paid 💰 happy about that. Completely aware of the business side.

its sad, they had to fight in this bareknuckle circus, for Saenchai to get this kind of money,
the casuals got what they wanted, no one was seriously hurt, and Saen got his money, so all good, in the end.
They play football in the same team, everyday, when both in Bangkok.
bkfc, were lying hard, to try and claim this was an even fight, saying they were same weight and height, also the rules did not help Saenchai at all, no sweeps etc etc, but lets be real, Buakaw is just to big, this is why we have weight classes.

It was a good fight. Two grown man fight so i see no Problem with it.🤷♂️ and both make a lott of money.so good for them
It’s just overall a bad look because of size difference in my opinion. Recovery is important too especially at their age. I’d have had a different opinion if they were in their early 30s

It's a great fight because Saenchai wanted it so bad. It sucks to have buakaw hold back in the 4th round but the fight delivered enough for the fans. Saenchai will heal quickly, I think it is definitely worth it for him despite the loss. Saenchai got broken clearly, but he had to ready for the possibility as a fighter, especially against buakaw.

You got everything wrong. First it was not a fight. They pretended more. They both not willing to punch each other in the face. Even when they punched punches were not in full force. It was show. They kick each other pretty hard but punches in the face were limited due to they are good friends.
I literally mentioned in the video that they seemed like they didn’t wanna hit each other. At same time, the body hits were still somewhat hard

The weight that Buakaw lost is water which was gained back. They weren’t the same weight on fight day. Think Adesanya vs Blachowicz.
