i also like the Euro 6 of the hybrid
I love the older hybrids (e.g EH7-38) as they sound closer to their diesel counterpart and they just sound so nice.
Use 2016, depends on bus as well as depends if they dont break down lol
A sign of things to come for other parts of the UK I think, the air cooler unit.
If they are already being installed in TfL buses then it's just a matter of time before other operators around the country follow London's example and when you consider just how hot some of the temperatures got this summer (2022) then it's a good idea.
London has had these air cooler things since around 2008-2010...

God this particular one puts our ones in Hull to shame. Ours are with East Yorkshire and are all the same batch, fleet numbers 901 to 910. All have been converted for diesel running (non hybridised) and all have rather peculiar issues including overheating and being some of the slowest moving vehicles in service but I suppose that's what happens when you try and move 11 tonnes with only an 145hp generator engine.

@@leokronenberg8645 from the factory it would’ve been euro 5 as euro 6 was introduced in 2015

probably had a bit of a spruce up and a clean down that's why (in short terms a refurb and a clean)

Yeah it does. Listen to the engine, the constant rev note means the engine is providing peak power to charge the batteries and provide power to the motors at the wheels.
@@ryannevery844 I know it’s charging because I can hear the rev getting stuck at a certain point to charge but I didn’t actually hear the hybrid come on
@@Traviconation you won't over the engine noise, maybe the faintest whine of the electric motor but that's about it. A constant engine speed is how the power is fed down through the system, a bit like a Toyota Prius driveline.

These can do 57/62mph but restricted to 43mph
