Good info, I subscribed. I have 1 Echo CS 2511T which is great for climbing (it's replaced my Stihl 020AV). I might buy another Echo, which led me to Shindaiwa, and your channel. I've had Stihl saws since 1971, still have several old Stihl saws and a brush cutter. I use my 090AV with a Granberg Alaska mill for cutting timbers for my Timber Framing business. I hitched around Oz in 1968, worked for a while in WA. Returned twice in 1988 for more adventure. Hope to return again, good country & good people. I'm from New York USA
Good call on the filter, mine does the same thing, only run razor sharp chain, plenty of oak and other hardwoods/softwoods in moderate climate. There's always going to be some dust. Really enjoy using this saw, very happy with it. Mine came with 20" pro solid bar, which is nose heavy on this light saw but I actually use it more than I thought I would, I don't get the dolkita 7900 out unless it's needed, Sugihara makes a narrow kerf 16" light laminated bar which really let's this saw shine, the lightness and balance is amazing and it is very, very fast especially with stihl RS if conditions suit full chisel.
Great Video. Sure looks frosty down there mate. Fortunate to have Iron Bark Also, though is running out fast. A normal sized burner can last up to 14hrs in the fire. When we were out western NSW the Gidgi wood burnt so damn hot would burn the backside out of the fire place. Have been Cutting and Selling Iron bark here this Winter using my Shindaiwa 451s as you know. Am up to 16 tone now, and she hasn't faulted, just getting Stronger. With the Air Cleaners, i bought an Extra 2, this way i can replace during the day, to keep maximum Power. Just wash at night and place near the fire for the next days Cutting. Hey, do you prefer Oregon chains over Sthil ? Oregon are about to bring a new Chain out that they say can, cut a Tone of Wood before sharpening. Look forward to this! All the Best OZ.
Gday mate. Good to hear that your 451 is going strong. Shindaiwa wont let you down. I prefer Stihl chain over any other brand at this moment. I hope the new Oregon is as good as they say it will. Cheers
I took out the 10 mm pipe on your other video from muffler. Would that do any harm to piston letting out air quicker.. Im in Ireland. Let the screen in as you did.
@@Onemanshow1974 sorry mate, i just read my original notes. Just remove the restrictor tube and run it. It will be slightly rich (thats a good thing). Next time you have it in for a service, get them to lean it a bit, that will give you a bit more power and allow this saw to reach its full potential. Adding the flock filter will also cause it to run rich Thanks for watching
Hello i buy'ed this saw. And im newbie in chainsaws , i will buy cheap tacho to tune so how much RPM should it have ? In standard filter this chainsaw need regulation too ?

I finally decided to take the restrictor tube out of the muffler on mine.. Man, what a difference! Much better throttle response. Sounds great too.
They are amazing little saws. Im glad you like it.
Cheers Matt

Where did you get dogs for 501? My CS-4910 has stock dogs and they don't look that aggressive.
I made them from a Farmatec set from ebay
@@ozcountryliving4751 I just rewatched the video and do they seriously make left-handed chainsaws? Both the Makita and Echo have reverse everything.
@@eugenecrabs3954 not sure mate

Tune so that it is slightly rich at high rpm
