Hello my name is Angelica! Welcome to Episode 1 of "Let's Plan Christmas" here on planner beat. Let's Plan Christmas is a series designed to share my planning process as well as teach you how to preplan.
The series is divided up into 4 episodes. Episode one we create a "snap shot" of your Christmas: 3 sets of notes that you will be using as source material for your planning and planner set up. You will just write out what Christmas means to you and what you typically have been doing for Christmas in the past. Then we will create a timeline of our Christmas plotting events and how we typically organize and have been executing our Christmas. Finally we will brain dump everything and anything related to Christmas. Whew! Sounds like a lot, but once you see this in action you will begin to understand just how essential this step will be for your planning process. I divided this series into 4 episodes so you can follow along with me. Technically 3 episodes because in episode 4 I show you how I set up my Christmas planner.
I hope you find episode 1 helpful to your planning. Just remember in these first 3 episodes we are creating the rough drafts. So don't get held up on what type of planner you are going to be using, the style, size, layout, etc. Just get Christmas out of that head and then worry about making things pretty when you are done.
This series is my gift to you and to me. Christmas should not be as stressful as most of us have made it out to be. By learning how to map out our thoughts and preplan I promise you some pressure if not most or all will be off your shoulders. The system I designed in this series is meant to make Christmas simple, easy, and D.O.N.E. Trust the plan and Let's enjoy Christmas again! I mean, hello, Christmas is for us to!
