I heard about the proposed LEX terminal reconfiguration or expansion on Spectrum News. It was announced several years ago that SDF was planning to expand from the current 25 gates to at least 40 but the pace has been terribly slow. I figure it should be ready by the year 2075 or something. I was wondering if those 747s took off fully loaded or not. I've seen them take off fully loaded at SDF many times. One of the runways is right at 12,000 feet and they take the whole length to get in the air. Plus at full load they are close to 1 million pounds.
I find it interesting such a large aircraft can land on such a small runway, and fit inside of a small airport too
very cool plane models!! I'm a Malaysian and I really like the Malaysian 747
Yeah it’s a great model!

No, they weren’t fully loaded. The Atlas wasn’t going very far and the Royal Dubai had to stop in London. we just have like a 7,000 ft Runway 😂
😎👍🏼
How do I get into collecting models & making airports?
First buy some models that have meaning or you have flown on, then build or buy a terminal!
Thanks:)@@ScimitarAviation
