I am current enrolled in a 10 week course. It is much harder than I anticipated. I have not been in school for 40 years. My study habits have definitely changed over the years. Good luck to all of you and I hope you all pass with flying colors. Lol my name is Sandy that is what my grandkids call me.
I've been using the study book and index cards and they have been very helpful. I also found a few apps that provide quizzes and stuff to help out with studies. I highly recommend. I also wish you luck on your studies:) we can do this.
@@khrystynakv can you share those apps?
Where do you get it at?
Which prep course are you using?
Good luck with your exam! I’m taking mine in 4 weeks and have had trouble focusing so I appreciate you posting this video.
Oh gosh no way! I wish you luck!! Its been hard for me to focus the past couple weeks as well. I am so nervous haha.
Thank you for sharing. It was useful!
I'm just starting. Thank you! Finding a starting point has been difficult! Going to find that study guide today!
It is hard. But the book and study guide really help out.
I'm so grateful i came across your study video. I feel like I'm struggling with studying for my aPHR cert exam. My memory isn't well and in order for me to remember anything i need to write down notes that only I can decipher. I really hope you passed your exam the first try around and with flying colors. Thanks again for your study tips.
My memory isn't the best either. I've been struggling very hard with studying for the exam and so I have currently put it on pause. My husband and I just bought a house so renovations have been taking over my time. But I do hope to take the exam some time this summer.
@@khrystynakv congratulations! I’m scheduling my test for early August 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
@@aprylmasdeu1214 Hi, how did you study for the exam and how did it go?
@@cherylfairley4388 I PASSED!!!!
@@aprylmasdeu1214 I'm struggling I'm listening to the videos and taking notes. My brain is on overload.they are really helpful did you use any other study materials?
Thank you for posting this video! I was happy to see your face half way through, always great to give the vids even more personality. I love your penmanship and thank you for the recommendation on highlighters :)
Good luck with your exam! Thank you for posting this - it was nice to see your note taking methods and to read the other comments on this as well - seems like everyone feels at least a little nervous about the exam! You are clearly organized and I know you'll do well when you take it! I watched your video last week as I was studying and I took my exam this weekend - I passed! Thought I'd share some of my exam feedback here for others:
My employer has a membership with an outside HR Service Provider so I was able to take an online prep course with them. It was an 8 week course with class once a week. I didn't really study or read in between classes though - I just paid attention in the class and took lots of notes. The last week before my exam I read through my notes and watched some other TH-cam videos and content to help refresh myself on all of the content. Exam was 125 questions and took me about 80 minutes to complete. Mostly multiple choice, less than 5 type in the answer, less than 5 assign the order/list type questions, and there was one math question (calculating pre tax pay for a non exempt employee). There was maybe just a handful of questions specific about laws/acts etc (all of that content was stressing me out because I was having a hard time remember all of the acts and the acronyms etc).
The exam was not easy, but it wasn't super crazy hard either. I would say it was part common sense, part work place application/knowledge (I'm just starting in an HR position so a lot of the content I was kind of familiar with), and part was me needing to know the content from the aPHR book.
Omg congrats on passing it!!! Thank you so much for the feedback regarding your exam. That has helped so much. I do hope to take the exam this summer since I have had to pause on studying due to work and house renovations. But I will be picking it up soon. Hope I pass!

it IS much harder than I had anticipated! I am scheduled to take mine in Aril.
I am planning on taking mine in April as well. I am very nervous and I don't feel prepared at all. I just keep going through my index cards over and over again.
Don’t know if you’ve already taken the exam yet but I wish you well! I intend to begin studying for it after putting it off for sometime due to being a busy work from home mommy to a little toddler...this is going to be interesting lol. Would love to hear about your experience post-exam if you’re willing to share...if you haven’t already. Go you!!!!
Sadly I havent taken it yet. Things got super busy on my end as well :/ I plan on taking it at the end of the year:)
I just received my study guide today, I am also going to give myself a couple months to study well and hopefully pass the first time. Can I ask if you or anyone here knows how to actually schedule my exam when I’m ready to test? Is it at a local center or done online at home?
It depends through who you are testing with. I know that through the hrci.org you can schedule it there and take it either at a testing center or even from home. But if you are doing it from home they have some requirements. I know one of them is that you need a camera and good wifi connection.
Thanks for sharing!
Pls I need aphri exam questions or dumps PDF..plss...
How much was this book
So the book is split into 5 units. You can get the book as a whole or buy each unit. Unit 1 to 4 is $69 each and unit 5 is $99. I bought the whole book and the index cards and that cost a total of $365. Here is the link so you can see what works best for you : www.hrcp.com/products/phr-sphr/
@@khrystynakv thank you very much
When you’re done with the study materials, I’m willing to take them off your hands for you!
Did you take the exam already?
Sadly not yet. Recently bought a house with my husband so had to put a pause on the exam. But getting back on track soon. I hope to take the exam this spring.
How is your studying going?
