Now here's a quick finger stretch warmup to learn! FINGER POSITIONS Just a heads up - Yngwie plays this in many different ways during live shows, so there might be some variations. I did my best to capture the finger positioning accurately, going by some live performance videos and by listening to studio version. PICKING SPEED While I’m more comfortable with legato-style playing than at intense speeds like Yngwie, I wanted to tackle this request because his influence on my playing has been immense! My picking speed is still a work in progress, so I plan to revisit this piece again in a few years to keep refining it. EDITED MY BEST PARTS This was a tough one to crack, so I recorded the entire playthrough a few times, and edited the best parts to keep things as accurate as I possibly could. PRS vs FENDER Also, I apologize for not playing with a Fender scalloped fret guitar (Malmsteen edition). We reached out to Fender for a sponsorship but didn’t hear back. However, this PRS Silver Sky is an absolutely amazing guitar, especially for those on a budget. Be sure to check out PRS guitars - links are in the description! Thanks for watching, hope you guys play along! 🎶
Mr Tabs, as a former guitar teacher with 50 years of playing experience, I wanted to thank you for your time and hard work producing this. Take it measure by measure people, don't give up.
Let's be honest here: Every now and then Mr tabs releases a tab for a song that he just personally learned. He is not expecting mortals like us to play this, but rather bask in the magnificence of his playing while appreciating how difficult the song actually is but putting a tab beneath it.
Its a high IQ game for sure when i was in my teens and 20s i could remember hundreds of songs rhythm lead solo and vocals . Definitely wouldn't be able to do that at 50 the older you get the slower the brains become
you don't really remember the individual notes just like when you talk you remember the words not the letters themselves. A bunch of notes could for example be reduced to: "a minor sweep and then descending run from 20 to 12 fret in a minor"
Supremely badass and as much as I love Yngwie he tends to improvise (way) more than I care for - very nice to see someone actually play it close to how it was recorded There has never been a single time where I've listened to Yngie improv on himself and thought it sounded better or even close to as good as the original recording. Never.
Its because they focus only on his faster passages. They completely miss his bends, vibrato and perfect sense of when to play slower, which he does a lot.
The attention to detail regarding the maneirisms of Yngwie's playing take this to another level! Amazing job overall but especially at the picking hand!
When I was sixteen and the internet was just becoming a thing I used my school computer to print out thirty pages of guitar tab for this song. I got in trouble for improper use of school equipment/supplies and a lot of the tab was incorrect. Still worth it lol.
There are covers, then there are covers. This was mind-blowing. I think my pulse rate increased 2X watching this one. Hats-off to you brother. Amazing skills for sure.
Wow!😮...The Best Instrumental Electric Guitar piece EVER!🎸, insanely good mate, It has everything: Virtousity, Emotion, Speed, Phrasing, Vibrato, Fluidity, Fire🔥. etc. Congrats for learning and tabbing this. simply Epic!👏 Mr. Tabs FTW!💯👌
Didn't realize he plays in so many odd groupings - 5's, 7's, 9's, etc - I'm guessing it's more of a feel/rubato thing, and it just works out that way. Great job btw!
Yeah, I noticed that too, really cool mix of odd groupings that sound great plus the Killer screaming vibrato to end the passages. Yngwie is a Genius.🤘
I noticed that too, I think at that speed its less about what 4's or 5's or 6's actually feel like and more about "well, I'm at this note, and I wanna get to this note with a fast scale run, so I'll just play as fast as I need to to get there when I want to"
Rubato is exactly it. Start at the right place and stick your landing. It’s what makes Yngwie’s playing back then so interesting. It’s not mechanical strict note divisions. There’s an element of wildness to it, an undisciplined vibe of a guy who’s just self-taught raw talent.
@@chris_share I find it interesting that this is apparently not how a lot of guitarist approach things. Maybe it’s the Polyphia effect, but it’s wild that so many would try to be so strict and mechanical. There’s a place for that but there’s also a place for just cutting loose and going for it.
Hats off to Mr T AGAIN for changing my guitar playing every new post that comes - today maybe 5x at .25 speed and after each round I do a sloppier .5x speed. Amazing work. Thanks!
YJM in his prime! Still remenber the track and how some of the tab sucked back in 1987. Thanks for the updated tab. Perhaps msybe I can tackle this thing after forty years.
A Herculean effort to learn and transcribe something like this, and to my ears 100% accurate right down to the most minute inflections. Amazing work, thanks for sharing it with us!
I'm glad i ran into this video, i was litteraly searching for a cover with tabs of this song and luckily i found one video uploaded just hours ago. Thanks for your job.
One of those musical moments I will never forget, dead of winter, was at the Galaxy bar in NJ, a buddy of mine Reggie Wu (Heaven's Edge) somehow got a recording of Rising Force before it was released. We had already know about Yngwie from Alcatraz and went out to my car to listen to it. Couldn't speak again for days.
Ahah !!! Cool !! I tried this one some weeks ago .... I was expecting you to cover this one to help us one day !!! Great choice !! .... and everything is perfect as usual !! Probably the best channel to help us average guitar players !! Thanks for the work and all that nice content for many years now !!
🍷🗿 OMG! I requested some Malmsteen music in the comments of Jason Becker's latest video. *Thank you very much for your kindness Mr. Tabs!* Greetings from Brazil, we like your work!
Great stuff as always! I would love to see some Avenged Sevenfold tabs from you! They’re challenging but super fun to play (aside from the odd semi-pop song 😂). Keep up the great work!
@Mr.Tabs.Guitar.Lessons Wow! First, thanks for replying, you're seriously the yt (and honestly one of THE) guitar gods!! Second, I would recommend making tabs for Afterlife, Hail To The King, and Nightmare; they're the band's biggest songs and have some INSANE solos
Now here's a quick finger stretch warmup to learn!

I'd like to suggest Joe Satriani's "satch boogie" and Eric Johnson's "stratagem"!
Them birds help you fly
That was a fabulous job indeed.
Awesome
Awesome.. more ACDC?

Far Beyond My Skills
Best comment of the day! hahaha
Our skills 😢😂
😂😂😂
Haha. I always laugh at “if I just had the tabs”. No way you’re learning this shit with tablature.
Lmao hahahahahahahaha
Finally, an easy one for begginers like me...
loll
Criminally underrated comment.
lmaoo
It maybe looks easy, but a beginner can't play stuff like this.
@@toke7342you missed the joke dude

chill dude, a bunch of people on youtube play this song, it isnt that hard, its just a lot of stuff to remember
it always blows my mind how well he incorporates blues licks with all the neoclassical stuff. please do more Yngwie stuff!
yes more from the Master please
finally you cover Yngwie Malmsteen
Final Boss
never clicked on anything so fast
Me too lol
Same 😂
FRR🗣️🗣️‼️‼️
YES
I can´t understand how anybody can memorize the whole song!
Great job!

Not only the accuracy of the piece, but you NAILED the tone. F'n gorgeous!
The Live In Leningrad concert from 1989 is what got me hooked on Yngwie for life. Great work here, thank you!
It is like the originall!! So dificult and you nailed it
Supremely badass and as much as I love Yngwie he tends to improvise (way) more than I care for - very nice to see someone actually play it close to how it was recorded
There has never been a single time where I've listened to Yngie improv on himself and thought it sounded better or even close to as good as the original recording. Never.
Yngwie has so much fire in his playing.
Sadly so many people don't get it. But their opinions don't matter.
Great job!
Malmsteen acting like an ass overshadows his playing
Its because they focus only on his faster passages. They completely miss his bends, vibrato and perfect sense of when to play slower, which he does a lot.
The attention to detail regarding the maneirisms of Yngwie's playing take this to another level! Amazing job overall but especially at the picking hand!

Your transcriptions are always a FEST - very extensive styles and all that in the highest quality - respect! Great!

I agree, it's an absolute classic! Glad you enjoyed the tab!
Now this is my favorite video on the entire channel. Thank you very much Mr. Tabs.
Beautiful.
This took me to a very happy place. Well done. 🤘🤘
Finally a Malmsteen's song and one of the best songs of all time thanks Mr Tabs
I have learned many songs from your channel. I think I’ll be sitting on this one for the next 3 years 😂 Fantastic job!
I'm planning to work on this one for the next 2 decades...
i'll be sitting up till next life
Holy shit. I truly appreciate the months this must have taken to crack from beginning to end

I've also heard this referred to as "cramming". Some of the older blues guys used this technique (but not to this level!).

amazing, your channel is the best I can't count how many songs I've learned with your video, keep it up your a guitar master.
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate your support!
Finally, we’ve got first 100% accuracy cover or studio version. Very good job, make more tabs of shred songs, very appreciate it.
he included also the 4:44 open g-string which was surely a mistake in the original studio track
Is there any solo that Mr.Tab cannot play? I think no. ...perfect as usual!
Agreed!
There is no way bro dropped this. I have been hoping for it for so long
I still remember when Yngwie came on the scene. Outstanding job with this one sir. Yngwie would tip his ruffles to ya for this :)

I can play that chord in bar 238. Now I just need to work back from there.
