For me a right leap is what I dread. I'm a leftie and can not for the life of me, get a right grande Jete. Please do a video on improving your bad leg leap.
Amber Pro For improve pick a song that you can move to. When you get a good song that gives you nice vibes just let your body move to the song. Improve is all you, there's no correo and all you have to do is feel the music and move to it! Hope this helped
Hey I'm in dance and I recently Friday got diagnosed with anterior knee pain I have to wear this ugly knee sleeve do you have any tips on how to make it look neutral for wearing it....... I have to wear black leggings and I have a white and blue sleeve
Aurora flexibility can be improved with some stretching and hard work and you do not need to do flips to dance the only reason you would be doing a lot of flips is if you’re doing acro which a lot dancers do not take
Why not 90 degrees? I always do mine at about 90 degrees.. I feel like it helps get my legs up, but that's just how I learned it in gymnastics and certain classes
It's chasse (I can't add the accent). You have excellent tutorials but I think it's important to say and spell the names of steps correctly. Thanks for doing them.
I'm really not a fan that you said the left leap is a "dreaded" leap. Dancers have good and not so good sides but working both sides makes a dancer stronger. Also, if you demonstrated the tricks it would be a great visual.
1. She didn’t say not to work both sides. There are more righty dancers than lefty dancers, and many kids dread their bad side. Nothing wrong with that. 2. Teachers don’t need to necessarily accomplish a movement in order to teach it well. She probably didn’t do it because she couldn’t, at least not anymore.
Okay, it's not sashay, it's chasse pronounced shah-say. I noticed that in the notes, haven't watched to hear if it's being mispronounced, but sashay is not a dance term.
I stopped watching at 1:15 because that is NOT a chasse Edit: Back 6 years later ☠️ guys.. ok I was trained in RAD ballet and dancecor contemp. For me, a chasse has always been one foot sliding out. Not what she has shown here. Its cool how the same words can be used for different thing around the world buuut this is not a chasse TO ME 😬
It seemed to me she was just giving a briefing of the leap. She never did it full-out so I think she was just trying to be quick and simple.. Though I would have liked to see it done full-out
That is a chasse, which is a step forward and a ball change where the back leg "chases" the front leg. Chasse's go up in the air, step ball changes and she just didn't go very high.
1. russian* not russia and 2. a russian leap, or traveling middle or even open second is a splits leap but centre so both legs are turned out and you are facing the audience
Omg if she's a teacher song wear socks #1 no when dancing and at least show the jump you teaching us, so you show a cart wheel by just placing your hand where they go ?
The “pushing something off the floor with your toes,” just changed my switchleap! Thank you!
left is my good leg or some reason
Quiana Prouductions same
same. its so hard for me to do stuff on the right because my left is just so much better! ugh
Quiana Reacts same

Quiana Flips I only wrote this comment because it wouldn't let me discard it
WHY ARE YOU NOT MY TEACHER
For me a right leap is what I dread. I'm a leftie and can not for the life of me, get a right grande Jete. Please do a video on improving your bad leg leap.

Mollie Hovey same

YourMom dotcom34 that’s what i thought
Dance coaches don’t need to be able to dance to teach well
@@mabelc4175 well said
You're such a great teacher please keep making more videos😊❤️
Switch tilt??!!😁
I wish you were my ballet teacher gosh
I accidentally clicked on this video searching for a muay thai switch kick tutorial, well practicing this improved my fluidity of the kick.
sadly my foot hurts right now and I'm not able to do something like that. But I'm really looking forward to practicing it in a few days😀
Your videos help me so much thankyou xx
How to flexibility exercise/your warm up tips?

Could you do a video on headsprings please? I was just at camp and got mine but I need to improve it
I have my switch leap really good but I'm looking for it to be high
I actually love switch leaps one of my favorites
At what time in the video does she actually do the leap?
She doesn't, it was just a briefing.. I would have liked to have seen it too (-:
My left leg is my good leg too
*Chasse* is actually a step ball change
Emily Lyons Or a gallop
I love switch leaps
This girl knows her shit.
What to pack for performances video please!

Thank You!! :)
I dread right leaps and can only do left leaps
How to do better a la seconde or fouette turns?
+Kayla Patterson th-cam.com/video/ZemRQblcsJE/w-d-xo.html
Thank you
When you have your left leg up before you switch are you up off the floor as you have it in front of you??
Rosa Ortiz yes
It is weird. I am a righties but I do splits on my left but I do a better split leap on my right.
I’m just a lefty in a world of righties
I have a question what if you want to be in dance but you are not flexible you can't do flips and stuff like that
Aurora flexibility can be improved with some stretching and hard work and you do not need to do flips to dance the only reason you would be doing a lot of flips is if you’re doing acro which a lot dancers do not take
Aurora yes! When I started dance I could do literally nothing. Not even a cartwheel. Tricks come over time, don’t worry!
Can you show us what it actually looks like?
I'm still not getting it
what if you’re good leg is left and you can only do a left leap? left is definitely not a dreaded leap.
Maybe you could do a tutorial on renverse jumps? (-: (Ps I apologize if it's spelled wrong)
Why not 90 degrees?
I always do mine at about 90 degrees.. I feel like it helps get my legs up, but that's just how I learned it in gymnastics and certain classes
I'm left handed
#Leftie ❤️
when does she do the actual leap
She never does the switch leap tho

amen!
She literally said chassé like 12 times, with perfect pronunciation...?
She slipped up once and said “sashay”, can you not let a mistake go?
My left leap is actually better than my right.
How to fortates!
CUTIEPIE0605 AJ I think you mean *fouettes

I have those socks
Your chasse is actually a step ball change, a chasse is a sliding movement which links steps ❤️

@@Esther_Grace liiiike I saiddd…. Noticed in the notes and unfortunately many “dancers” mispronounce it 🤷♀️
I stopped watching at 1:15 because that is NOT a chasse

You could argue that she used a jazz chasse, and not a simple ballet chasse.
+Aubrey Mailloux I'm not familiar with jazz or it's terminology but maybe :) ..
yh, we call it a step ball change
That is a chasse, which is a step forward and a ball change where the back leg "chases" the front leg. Chasse's go up in the air, step ball changes and she just didn't go very high.
😔😩😖😫😰😢😭😢
UMM YOU ASSUME IM A RIGHTY I AM A LEFTY
I thought it was called a Russia
1. russian* not russia and 2. a russian leap, or traveling middle or even open second is a splits leap but centre so both legs are turned out and you are facing the audience
Wtf is sashey its a chassé
She literally said chassé like 12 times, with perfect pronunciation.

I'm better at left leaps lol
My advice is: don't worry about how it looks. No one else is going to care.
Todd Bollom that’s great advice if you want to come last in everything
Unless your a competitive dancer and you want to do good at your scompetitions
not tryna be ride but I talk to much
Taaay Moneeey thats sounds like a personal problem
