    Did you even react to the video?

    From what I have seen, Vlad's disagreement with Kraut more has to do with how seriously Putin is taking Ilyn's ideology rather than saying Kraut was far off his assessment.

      Thats my reading too, I don't think of that as a disagreement as such. I think its also the case that Ilyin's ideology can exist as a kind of soup to marinade in and take is by osmosis as much as it is something that is necessarily read and consciously processed

      @@jascu4251 I mainly saw it as Putin pandering to Russian nationalists, but he really couldn't care about it that much.

      @@abyssmal5858 Its difficult to truly know, but I think its maybe a mixture of the two. Like I think its part of his makeup. Lots of things can inform the way we see things subconsciously.
      Like even if (if!) he doesn't consciously care, it can be part of a lens through which he sees the world

      Wasn’t the counter argument “Putin isn’t a fan of Ilyn’s writings because Putin doesn’t read”?

    • @jascu4251
      @jascu4251 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Xalerdane Thats the main counter-argument yes, but I don't think it needs to be that Putins reads a lot of books, or has read a book in decades, or in any depth.
      This could easily be something he read in his youth and stuck with him, it could be something that people talked about and he got the gist of it without even reading directly! It could be something took in by osmosis if he was in certain circles.
      Look how many people are influenced by Marx but have never actually read Marx!

    Honestly? I think that your content loses a lot from having a live audience. Perhaps this is the difference between TH-cam and Twitch, but people on TH-cam are coming to see your reaction to _the video,_ not your reaction to some chat.

    Please stop the video when you read the chat
    You're losing so much content and context

      Could you elaborate on that? Do you mean that i should pause the video and read or focus on the comments in the chat? I appreciate the suggestion

      @@elchopo99 When you’re reading and responding to chat, you’re not looking at or listening to Kraut.

    You lack the intellectual depth to review such topics.
