46:05 "How does he know I'm here" The damn elevator tells what floor you get off on. Thats why the stairs are an option. This game is terrifying
*** WARNING TIPS/TRICKS BUT SPOILERS
Jimmy ONLY uses the stairs to navigate. He does NOT use the elevator. There is a THUD each time he gets to a floor from the staircase so listening for that is a huge help to know when/where he is at!!!
Also the reason for the keys, being able to hide AND the ability to call out to Jimmy is to be used in combination to trap him in a room for a period of time. Giving you a slight time advantage to explore while knowing where he is @ but as I said just for awhile!!!
Lastly if he is at the end of the hall and there is a hallway between you and him you can still walk towards him and turn down the hallway between you two to get away. **Also NEVER turn around as I said you can still get away if he is in front of you. But if he is behind YOUR TOAST so SO BEST ADVICE DO NOT EVER TURN AROUND!!!

Hollow, you're doing so well!
But, if you're planning to keep playing it, there's a few things you have to keep in mind to move forward with it.
You have to make sure to check the mirror everytime you enter into a room, all you gotta do is stay by the door inside the room and click on the mirror icon at the top of the screen, it will tell you where you have to go, such as the floor, room numbers and also which items you need to use or to connect with the spirits (it also introduces you to the spirits) it's super important in order to be able to progress and being able to complete the story of the ghosts, which are like episodes that help you unfold Jimmy's background story too.
Also, when you go to the ground floor, go to the kitchen, that's the place where you can use the mirror in there, when you go to a floor or a place and it says "it's too dark in here" means that part is still locked cause you need to complete other things before unlocking it, like what happened to you with floor 2 (this one gets unclocked when you're almost done with Amy's story) and the ballroom/stage in ground floor - except the dark rooms, those will remain dark during all the game.
Follow the compass closely, it's extremely necessary cause it takes you towards the spirits location, whichs leads you to unlock the cinematographic scenes that introduce you the different ghosts and shows you their stories, also importanto to progress, when those scenes pop up, you have to make contact in that place with the ghost you've seen (the hint that tells you that a cinematogrpahic scene is about to appear is when the lights start to flicker in a specific location).
You have the master key to all the rooms of the floors, so you don't need to worry and can explore those fully, and also hide when Jimmy is after you.
Your safe zones are:
The Stairs
The Low Ground (basement)
Ground Floor
Jimmy is not able to go in those areas cause he doesn't have anywhere to hide, so when you're in there, stay calm, he won't find you nor go after you.

I don't scare easily...but this video game is an exception. It really taps into the psychology of being hunted. The AI alone is just plain brilliant. One of the best indie horror gems to date!

The fact that you rush through hallways and into rooms instead of allowing you to slowly walk in is the scariest part
The ground floor and the staircase are actually a safe place + u need to call out Jimmy to make a route but do not call him out when u are in a dead end

Love his videos. Only thing that was frustrating me was when he didn’t get that to speak to the ghosts, he had to follow the compass it was showing him the entire time 😂 but it was more of a funny frustration than a mad one

I've watched this played through by 3 different gamers....you are by far the scariest. When you said you will stop playing after the first jumpscare if it happens again, I kept thinking 'dude you might as well stop the game now!' This game is chocked full of them.
