- Whether it’s the dead of a blistering winter, or the peak of a golden summer, you can always count on seeing ice in Iceland. I mean, after all, it’s in it’s name, and there’s a very special beach on Iceland’s Southeastern coast that carefully holds a collection of glistening diamonds. After a whole week of road tripping Iceland, we’ve saved the very best for last- Diamond Beach and Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon. Thank you so much for following along on our Iceland travel series. Thanx for this awesome Iceland video series, it really shines through how much you enjoy each others company and how much attention to detail goes into your videos. Great job on the background investigation on the food, places and the Icelandic pronunciation… Icelandic is not the easiest language to master, but you did a really good job and really cute with the “bless bless” in the end of the videos. Iceland is truly an enchanted land. Diamond Beach was truly beautiful. The chunks of ice really looked like huge diamonds glistening in the black sand and with the deep, deep blue water in the background. Your talent with videography, audio, and narration really paid off in the Icelandic series!

Last year I saw the 9/11 memorial museum, and I often think about this one piece of art that stood out (though all of it was impactful). A very tall wall was filled with different shades of blue squares, which displayed survivors’ descriptions of the sky that day.
Though it would serve a very different purpose, I think it would be so neat to see all of the blues you both have witnessed since traveling together. I love your descriptive vocabulary when talking about the things you see. 💙
Beautifully said Matt! I remember seeing the same piece of art while visiting the Museum as well. I can’t imagine all the shades, tints, and tones of Blue that exist. Color is such a fascinating thing to think about.

This seems to be awesome trip! About how much for this trip? And what company did you use to rent the van and do the camping with?
The trip was one of our more expensive trips, but i'm not sure the total. Probably around 3,000-5,000 total, but that is only an estimate and we booked things quite early.
We rented the van with Campervan Iceland. Best of luck on your trip!
