I own pure Gold Pride because of this dude, it's now one of my favorite decks. Definitely giving this a try, been wanting to try Ghoti but couldn't find a build I liked
In said FAQ this is the line referring to what cards are legal for the tournament. "PHNI cards pulled from the product you received at this event are tournament legal for these Premiere! Event Tournaments only." The fact that it says "pulled from the product you received at THIS event" implies that you can only use cards you pulled at the event you are currently at and can't take those and play them at another Premiere event. Which also implies that you can't get play any cards that you received early outside of the events like having an in with the store owners/workers that allow you to buy the product earlier than intended. At the end of the day it's up to the store owners discretion how they want to interpret that line and they can run it how they want. Personally I just don't think it's fair to the other players who don't have a hookup to get cards early. Everyone deserves a chance to win and people like this guy who don't care about the games integrity and fairness is just another thing that's wrong with the Yugioh community.

If the store owner says you can only play cards that are pulled from entry then they have to trust that the players are doing so and the players should follow the rules of the store. Also I think it’s fairly obvious that no one is gonna pull a full power PHNI deck from 5 packs or 1 box. I thought that could go without being said but this is the TH-cam comments after all.

The issue with yugioh prerelease as opposed to other games is that yugioh doesn't have many great stand alone cards or the cards purely revolve around themes started in recent sets. Magic prerelease literally only allow you to use the prerelease kits. Yugioh sets are built in that way. Opening 5 random packs or even a box just to play your exact same deck seems pointless. Why even have a prerelease event for that matter? If only 2-3 people pull a populus or a princess...is that "fair" when they can completely boost their deck but other people can only use the cards they currently own? Seems unfair in an already unfair game. What about trading? Is that not allowed?
@@henrycarter5340 There are locals that the entry kits are only boxes and you build a deck with only those cards (from your box) to play in the event. I think that’s a much better way to do these premiere events. Yes it is more fair to have people only use pulls from their entry because at that point you guys all have the same chances to pull a good card. Let’s also be real. Putting one card in your deck isn’t gonna boost it by that much and that’s assuming you’re even playing the deck it goes with anyway. Trading is also fine cuz at least the card still needed to be pulled with those entries. At the end of the day we can agree to disagree on what we consider fair and not fair. The entire point of my comment was simply responding to the subject of the video when he implied that Konami allows all cards from PHNI to be legal regardless of how they were obtained. From the FAQ that he citied that is clearly not Konamis policy.

If he's around in the comments, any thoughts on ran/gymir aegerine? It doesn't work as well with deep beyond, but it's a pretty strong card
you should run crossout in main because it can also banish the combo pieces you need like gold sarc
