The fish can breathe. The bags have air pumped into them and it's tied off tightly giving it pressure. Usually the fish are bought from farms or stores (which also came from farms) at bulk so it's no different from buying them at the store. The only reason why they die easily is because people don't care for them properly. Fish are actually really difficult to care for.
I won my fish from a carnival game 3 years ago. I could tell he wasn't gonna last long. But when i took him home, i treated him like a little baby and to this day, i have him still. His name is Doug, and he's a blue beta fish. My brother also won a fish. He named it Buddy. It was a red bata fish. But he was also not looking to well when we got him. You CAN win at ring-a-bottle. It’s not too easy, but it does happen. I’ve seen multiple people win at it. Bank a ball, shoot out the star, and the basketball games especially are quite hard to win at.
On the ladder climb: on the fourth step, you are supposed to place your foot and hand at the exact middle of the ladder step and perfectly balance until you make it to the top. Which makes it near impossible. If you do manage to make to the top, the person running that game will purposely wobble it to make you fall. It's not fun anymore after knowing this.
Also the first three steps, they weren't balancing. If you notice, the inflatable was supporting them, after the third step, they didn't have that support. Carnivals are scams!

On the ladder climb: on the fourth step, you are supposed to place your foot and hand at the exact middle of the ladder step and perfectly balance until you make it to the top. Which makes it near impossible. If you do manage to make to the top, the person running that game will purposely wobble it to make you fall. It's not fun anymore after knowing this.
Also the first three steps, they weren't balancing. If you notice, the inflatable was supporting them, after the third step, they didn't have that support. Carnivals are scams!
