Glad you got there and had a great time in Liverpool. Felt sorry for you about all the engine issues. We call it Murphys law here in NZ, if it can go wrong it will. We also call him names when it does lol. We watched all the UK Jimmys farm series, he always had things going wrong and always said" It'll be fine.." lol.. we use that a lot.... keep smiling...☺☺☺
Wow, if it wasn't for bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all! Here's hoping that that is all behind you now, and it will be smooth sailing from now on. Thanks for posting.
I am so glad you found the engine problem before a more serious problem happened. I know it seems overwhelming, but there is always a hidden blessing to every problem. I am looking forward to wifey cam pictures of the boat. Enjoy your time in Liverpool you deserve it.
You may also want to take a peek at Narrowboat Wills vlog regarding the Engine mounts replacement, after he found a Diesel leak which destroyed his Engine mounts, as Diesel and Rubber dont go well, this could also be putting the Alignment of your shaft out and causing the Stern gland to leak, may need to replace the Stern Gland Packing. 😏😎👌😉
Well done for getting thru all of the boat's technical issues. I felt your pain. But most of all, really pleased you made it to Liverpool had a great time there. I love Liverpool, slightly biased as I born in and grew up in Liverpool. Thank you for sharing. All the best. Take care.
@@thenarrowboatvlog8653 You don't have to be an engineer to read the manual and do all the daily checks, just like you should check the oil level in your car engine before a long journey. It's called preventative maintenance: you do it before you break down.

Hopefully that's the end of your bad luck .glad you got to Liverpool ok in the end
Thanks Michael
Narrowboat chef had diesel bug too. They had to get a company in to filter their diesel. It took 4 or more running through the filters to clean it.
Yeah we thought about that too but couldn’t find anyone local :(
Pumped out and disposed of responsibly so hopefully we should be ok
Love the view through Liverpool. Love hearing Kelly in the background. Glad things were better by the end of the vlog. Hope it has stayed that way.
Thanks Carolyn
Sorry to hear of the engine woes. As a fellow boater (not a narrowboat) with a stubborn engine (outboard), I commiserate. Things will get better.
Thanks Ed we certainly hope so

So unlucky. Let’s hope this is the last of it 👍
Yes fingers crossed it is :)
No gearbox oil, so you never checked before you set off? You need to learn some maintenance, your gearbox must be leaking.
Well we aren’t all engineers sadly :( we live and learn
