Would have thought a few more people would have watched the 1st departure! Something very exciting about that initial run. I always want to complement the station gardeners- the plants make the station look so good so thank you all the hard working gardeners
Nice video Mike and Val of the train and your pasties look tasty We are relaxing in our hotel in the grounds of Canterbury Catherdral before going to Evensong Then off to Cote restaurant for our evening meal . Weather here like Bishops Lydeard from Joanne and Chris.
Thanks Joanne. The Pasties were excellent this morning and we even bought a lovely portion of Quiche in the Farm Shop for later in the day, with Waldorf Salad! Thanks Basil!

Do the crew need the cylinder cocks open that long obscuring the loco. Or maybe you think it makes for dramatic footage. Good to see you're getting out Admiral. Wouldn't be the same without a pastie. Nice one Val.
Sensible when starting off from cold, with the consequent likelihood of water condensing in the cylinders; blowing off the end of the cylinder would spoil everyone's day

Yes, they do a fine job.
Super video. Takes me back to my Minehead childhood in the 1950s.
Lovely video Mike.. great way to spend your day.
Wonderful video
Lovely images with steam locomotive in action! Good work, Mike! Thumbs Up

Lovely breakfast time viewing. cheers MIKE.
Great video Mike, nice sounds from the loco leaving BL. Val made me jealous again with her pasty.
Thanks Terry. Yes, especially great Pasty this morning from the nearby Farm Shop, with coffee from the station shop.
Must get down here soon. Yesterday we went to a Military Re-enactment & camp

Nice one Mike, I hope to get to the WSR this year.
It will be good to have you back in our area Tim!
@@ADMIRALSCORNER I'm looking forward to it, the WSR is one of my favourite heritage railways.

can you still get the live camera feed from the station on TH-cam thanks ,
The on line cameras seem to be having lots of problems recently. Only three were working yesterday.
Thanks for keeping quiet and letting me listen to Odney Manor. I'm surprised no-one tried to pull off an April Fool's Day prank on you, lol.
There was the story that the railway was fireing their locos from the remains of coffee beans from the station shop as an alternative to coal!
Great video do you think steam and diesel will go to I think to Taunton correct me if I'm wrong kind regards to val
Thanks Mike. It's hard to see the two groups for and against the idea coming to an Agreement, sadly.
Your wording needs correcting first lol 😂...

@@janinapalmer8368 No Janina not a Ginnie, but made locally and better.

The locomotive has vanished in a cloud of steam.
Better perhaps than diesel smoke, but not everyone thinks that!
Thank you.
