Had one of the first VR6s in Cape Town. VW had to replace it after a year, could never get it to run properly. Pity cos when it did work it was a lively car.
Never get the first gen of any new car...always wait for "facelifts"....by then niggles haven been fixed...those OBD 1s was known for TC failure...had strong fuel pumps though.
