No, We are not ready to align or involve India With Pakistan's current situation, Unfortunately !
We feel sad and have our empathy for the economic and overall crisis that Pakistan is going through from a humanistic point of view.
But it's for our own betterment we better not involve ourselves in Pakistanis matters. It will only demean our current growth and image that we have in the world we are better off without them. History witnessed what it gave us whenever we had connection with Pakistan.
Pakistan is fundamentally and ideologically different and has no acceptance for Indians deep down , the call for talks on the table is just because they're dying for financial aid. Only if there are some real changes in their approach to really have a good relation with India, we always welcome you to talk to you.
Our India has a track record of forwarding hands for aid and any other kind of assistance and for any possible development, we always were ready for that irrespective of what country , what ideology and what background you stand with unless it's humanistic .
But Pakistan see world through imperialist Islamic lens , the only obstacle that I feel as a proud Indian and a human to not involve our India with Pakistan unless they're really ready for changes.

*Dr. B.R. Ambedkar:* The allegiance of a Muslim does not rest on his domicile in the country which is his but on the faith to which he belongs. To the Muslim, Where it is well with me there is my country is unthinkable. Wherever there is the rule of Islam, there is his own country. *In other words, Islam can never allow a true Muslim to adopt India as his motherland and regard a Hindu as his kith and kin*

Taking head on the right-wing forces, in his book, Pakistan or The Partition of India, Ambedkar wrote, “If Hindu Raj does become a fact, it will, no doubt, be the greatest calamity for this country. My quarrel with Hindus and Hinduism is not over the imperfections of their social conduct. It is much more fundamental. It is over their ideals."

When Pakistan is begging for money, the world is asking/expecting pakistan to solve it's issue with its biggest neighbour with stable & growing economy. So, Pakistan wants the facade of talks. The attitudes of pakistan's army and political leaders is the same. Ignore them and proceed with our own road map of economic prosperity is the best response.

A journalist should not be clouded by 'patriotism', but should be fair , objective & be informed enough to challenge the interviewee if the latter drifts into fantasy. Hussain and earlier Moeed Yousuf were able to get away with brazen lies. In both the cases, if getting across narratives through interviews is diplomacy by other means, then this is another diplomatic coup by Pakistan!

Why can't Karan Thapar stand up for India for once, and rebut where needed. Maybe he is being a generous host, and as another viewer said, he is merely allowing the guest to put the Pakistani narrative through. It becomes a bit jarring when he just smiles(something he rarely does) at the incessant rhetoric peddled by one Pakistani after another. This guest was no different and spewed the same Kashmir, Kulbhushan Jadhav(they still can't decide if he's a terrorist or a spy, this one called him both), equality, Modi, RSS, and other tripe..KTs parting comments almost came across as a thank you to his guest for hurling all the above-mentioned rhetoric at him..

I still don't understand what actually Pakistan wants.
    1) First Kashmir War, started in October 1947 when Pakistan feared that the Maharaja of the princely state of Kashmir and Jammu would accede to India.
    2) Pakistan's Operation Gibraltar, which was designed to infiltrate forces into Jammu and Kashmir to precipitate an insurgency against rule by India. India retaliated by launching a full-scale military attack on West Pakistan.
    3) Kargil War, this conflict between the two countries was mostly limited. During early 1999, Pakistani troops infiltrated across the Line of Control (LoC) and occupied Indian territory, mostly in the Kargil district. India responded by launching a major military and diplomatic offensive to drive out the Pakistani infiltrators. On what position Pakistan want to negotiate, and what they want to negotiate? I simply don't understand, for my commonsense.

Mr. Thapar never sounded like a seasoned journalist during the whole conversation. Minister sahab was like a teacher who was teaching his very fond student. .. Representatives like him can be of no help to any side. Look the way he's talking about 370 and Kasmir, a one sided monologue!!
Even at this stage of pauperdom, he just can't forget his atomic power and come out of this mirage. Your PM sahab has learnt and he rightly used ' we'. Its only arrogance and no magnanimity when ministers like u describe that 'We' as 'Royal We'.

Mr. Thapar I do understand your dislike for Mr.Modi. But sometimes personal hatred should be set aside and national interest should be paramount.
In this interview you let a minister from a country facing an Economic, Political and Existential crisis walk all over you. Normally you do not let an interviewee finish a single sentence but in this case why did not ask your guest about the multiple gestures the Indian government made only to be stabbed in the back (Kargil etc) by our neighbors. Why did you not question him about how harboring and supporting terrorists to gain strategic depth in Afghanistan and India has resulted in radicalization of the Pakistan society and how money spent on the army has led to the lowest Human Development indicators in the subcontinent.
Pakistans obsession of India has led to its demise. Their own PM admitted that.
You ,Mr. Thapar should be ashamed of yourself!!

    2. They have a history in recent memory of rescinding on any promise they make.
    3. The people offering the olive branch are unsure if they will be at the seats tomorrow.
