It's October 26, 2022. and I pull up this song the end of every October and listen to Nancy Wilson sing it. No one can sing this song with the emotion and fervor that Nancy sings it with, it's one of my favorite of her many songs. I can NOT believe it's been almost 4 years since Nancy left us, there will never be another like her, she was an inimitable voice with a style all her own, that will never be duplicated.

I believe this song lyric was only partially created by Mercer, that Mercer’s widow gave what she had to Barry Manilow who then completed the lyrics. One of my very favorite songs, and Ms.Wilson more than does it justice. Treat yourself, and seek out her singing “Guess Who I Saw Today.” Perfection. 😊
I bought this cd, and I love the songs; I wish I could get sheet music for all of them, but her vocal mannerisms just drive me crazy after two listenings. I don't know why they chose her, of all people, or was it her project?
Barry Manilow was looking for a singer and chose her. Personally, I don't think the songs are very good except for "When October Goes". The way Nancy sings the end of that particular song on the recording always gives me goosebumps. I never listen to the other songs on this album. I don't know of any other singer who's ever performed them

The young singers of today need to go back and learn from Ms.Wilson on how to speak and act like a lady and dress like one
