Yikes. A lot of people get so aggressive and defensive when they are in the wrong instead of just owning up to it. Even if I wasn't doing motovlogs I'd still have the camera, too many crazy things going on!
As far as I see the rider had his turn signal turned on, so the car probably expected him to turn, that's why he came out before him I think
If you are referring to me then I didn't have my turn signal on at all. Just chilling in my lane. You'd be able to clearly see the green light blinking on the cluster if I did. Regardless, that guy didn't even come to a stop so he still ran a red light. All is well that ends well though!

I agree technically he was over the line on the bikers side of the road and it was his fault he hit the poor guy but I know there’s plenty of times when you have to give way because something is parked at your side of the road but when there’s plenty of room to get two vehicles through without the other guy having to stop if I was the biker I’d be looking way ahead down the road and think well there’s bags of room why not just move to the right a bit be courteous even though I don’t have to and let the guy through it’s like being the only guy in a lift standing right in the middle not letting anyone in with you seemed like there was a confrontation where they was no need to have one to me like the guy on the bike did it on purpose
But then again if I was driving the car I’d move toward the centre line and indicate and slow down to show my intention if the biker refused to move over and share the vast space he had then fine whatever looked like the pig headed car driver was coming through whatever though

The motorist never hit the biker. It was the other way around. He was never in danger and chose to hit the mirror instead of being reasonable. Simple as that.

That last video sums up a lot of the confrontations. There's no way getting around the fact that the guy in the car was in the wrong. However, The biker saw what was about to happen. All he had to do is was move over a little bit and this could have been avoided completely. To me it seems like the bikers are looking for confrontation half the time. The most common one I see is when a car is taking a right onto the road ahead of the biker. A lot of the time with plenty of room to spare. The biker then speeds up on purpose in order to make it seem like he got cut off and then flips shit.

Where in Australia are you from? I'm just out of Adelaide, only started riding about a year ago coming up later this month. I ride daily, got myself a Kwaka, as most newer riders seem to do! Do you know of any groups of riders around Adelaide that allow walk in riders? most seem to be on the hush hush these days :S

Im so amazed to see a danish one, not many ride bikes around here in denmark generally as the danish rules are also way more strict and you need higher permits which you can usually first get when you 21 years old here in order to ride bigger bikes. Props to the danish driver tho dealing with fucking tons of toxic danish vehicle drivers.

I was recently in London and realised a lot of bikes have L stuck on them. Are there just a lot of learners or is it something I don't know about?

Means they're riding on CBT's and can only ride a maximum of 125cc's, which are perfect for city riding. Doesn't make sense to pay £500+ to do your full license to ride around London when you can pay £100 and do it on a CBT.

Yes, thank to new EU laws brought in in 2013, it's now made obtaining a full license more expensive and harder.
You can do a CBT aged 16, allows you to ride 50cc's.
When you turn 17 you can automatically ride 125's and are old enough to do your A2 test, which consists of a theory and 2 practical tests. This still restricts you to 125cc for 2 years.
After 2 years you can do your A1, which I believe are further practical tests on a 48bhp machine (which needs to be rented) before you're allowed to ride bikes not exceeding 48bhp.
After another 2 years of being restricted to 48bhp, you automatically move onto your full A license, which allows you to ride any powered bike.
Luckily I passed my full license 2 days before these new rulings came in, which meant I was only restricted to 33bhp for 2 years before I became qualified to ride any powered bike. Hence my DRZ, which I still own.
You have to be 19 to do the A2 test, and it restricts you to a bike of 46bhp. after two years on an A2 license or when you are 24 years or older then you can sit the tests for your full A lisence meaning you can then ride any bike
It used to be like that over here, but since they have brought this new scheme in rider deaths have decreased drastically.
They're thinking of scrapping the extra test between A2 and the A licence though in favour of extra lesson on a big bike, just so you get used to it safely

The first car. Wow! what a golden opportunity, for an ass thrashin with the spare bike chain. And you let it pass. what's the point in making these vids, unless you're going to help reeducate the lawless and reckless drivers, who bully and belittle the bikers?
i would be tempted to take out his rear window, in such an extreme case of aggression and sheer belligerence. Acting the macho man to a herd of bikers, defo needs to learn a lesson. A can of pepper spray, also would've done quite nicely.
Just think of it this way. You're saving him, from behaving like that. To possibly psychos with fire arms and preventing him being, a bully to innocent road users.
It's your obligation and duty, to apportion a lesson. Teaching these people there are, such things as consequences. For the sake of his own safety, as well as everyone elses.
Fair enough if you go to the police and they take your side and they resolve their behaviour effectively. But if you did it my way, you'll save the police's time and tax money. Then they'll have more time, to tackle serious criminals and psychopaths. It's a win/win/win and thus a no brainer.
Somehow I doubt reporting to the police, will be effective in most, if not all cases and will most likely take forever and a day to resolve.
The problem is you all start to get chickeny, when it starts to get serious. Ask yourself, why are you doing, what you're doing? Are you simply trying to get you tube hits and feed your craving for attention? Or do you actually want to make a difference, to the world around you, for the benefit of others and society?
This choice is the difference, between being selfish and being a good effect on the Universe. It's your duty to act and take some steps to affect change.
i'm not saying you should go, from one extreme to another. Always err on the side of caution and try non violent means and involvement of the police. If these are the effective answers.
At first it may be difficult to adapt these changes, that's why you should always be cautious first. And exhaust as many peaceful avenues as you can. Sadly it seems in some cases such as these, there are no peaceful alternatives.
Ask yourself, would you let your children behave like them? Would you not smack them, if that is the best way, to implement behavioral change? Well we are all God's children and we all have a moral obligation and duty, to help others learn and improve their behaviour.
E.G. Take the fat guy in the car park as an example. He clearly wanted a fight with you, because he saw you as weaker. He was taking advantage, of his perception of the situation and was trying to be a bully. Why? We can argue about that until the cows come home. But the fact is, if you had been a psycho with a gun, he'd be dead right now and so would his daughter.
Really he just wanted to intimidate you, to teach YOU a lesson. I'm not sure what that was about exactly, the vid doesn't show the initial incident. The skinnier guy looked like he was braving up to him for a fight as well, so that part was 50/50.
The situation was resolved, because you were there, to help the skinnier guy out. So the fat guy climbed down and withdrew. Albeit slowly, to prove he wasn't scared and he had a weapon like a golf club. If they had started fighting, the daughter would've attacked as well, with the weapon, if dad was losing. That's northerners for you, scowser scum.
i don't know who was initially at fault. So it's difficult to say, what the appropriate action should be. A bad example really. But if say the fat guy had begun the incident and continued to bully and intimidate. Then an earlier intervention, ripping the rear of his car with the bike chain. Would no doubt stop him being so cocky. As long as you make good your escape, so he doesn't persist his attack.
The other thing is you should never back down from a fight with a guy who's much older than you. He's just acting tough, because he thinks you wont bother and even if he does end up backing down as fat man did. He'll feel brave and no shame, that there was more than one person against him. He's a typical out and out bully. He didn't know there would be anyone, to help out the skinnier guy. Only way to teach a bully a lesson, is to call their bluff and act even tougher. If he's in the wrong.
If he was in the right, then you could try to placate him, by saying nice things like, you seem very upset about this don't you? Then he'll think about his actions and become more reasonable. If you are in the wrong, you should readily admit it and apologise.
But if he's in the wrong, then you shouldn't back down, for societies duties sake. I was recently in the job center and I was waiting for about 20 mins to be seen. There was someone I sort of knew next to me and I started talking to him. He was ok and was talking back fine. I started making jokes and he didn't like me having fun there and then. None of the jokes were aimed or about him. Then I asked him a totally decent question. "Does he still use to paper books for his job search?" Then he got mad and said "don't talk to me". i said "why not" and he leaned near to my face and said he would hit me right there and pointed at my head. He is a lot than bigger than me, about 6ft 5 or 6 and strong build. But he's way older in his 60s. I am 38 so I said go on then and he started again to make threats. So I interrupted him and said "go on then (louder) you old man. I'll run circles round you and I'll beat you up with one hand, my weak hand." He was about to threaten me again so I told him I'll bite his nose off and eat his eyeballs. You don't know who you're dealing with. 'The security guy came over but didn't intervene.
He stopped talking and I told him don't threaten me coz I'll see you outside and I know where you live. He just said don't talk to me a couple of times. So I said, "all I did was ask a civil question, don't be rude. i don't like being threatened especially when I know, I can beat that person up."
He has some injuries and walks funny. i actually feel sorry for him and bad with myself for getting angry. I wanted to apologise and offer him support after, but he left before me. I don't like being disrespectful to older people. But I hope he learned, to be nicer to people from now on.
Strangely enough, no one else seemed to notice what happened. i spoke to the adviser about it and she heard nothing.

Did anyone else see the biker who hit the guys mirror take his hand off of the handle bar as if he was hitting the mirror on purpose? Because that's what I saw and if so he has no right to be mad.
Yeah the biker was a dick and refused to slide over a bit to be nice and then smacked dudes mirror on purpose... Lots of dumb scary people on here 6yrs ago just not seeing reality I guess!
That last clip, if you catch something like this on camera, REPORT this to police. maybe he was drunk, on drugs, no license, no insurance ..etc. Don't ever let people like that get away, that maniac was driving on wrong side of the road. even tho biker could have pulled bit more to the side, you can't aggressively blame someone for hitting you if you were the one in wrong lane.
